This section used to be split into jeeps, parts and other categories, but recent changes to eBay will require this information to be recoded.

Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. As close to original as possible? Hmmm ..
“MUST SEE! Completely restored close to original as possible. This Willys Jeep is in excellent condition. New paint in Marine Corp color. Street legal. Original jeep motor. NEW jeep tires plus spare. New top.”
UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $2000.
This one could use some work.
“1946 jeep willys, 350 corvette eng doubble hump heads, needs work, ran when parked, came from climax mine in leadville, fun little 4×4, can send other pics, $2000 obo”
There’s been some body work if this is truly a CJ-2A body. There was no description of any significance. You can view more pics and contact information here.
UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $3500.
“Excellent example of a 1946 Jeep Willys. It has been converted to a 12 volt system. Body is in good condition, runs and drives good. Interior is in good condition. It has only been driven a few miles as an occasional Sunday drive. The jeep used to have the red carpet in the back, I took it off, and the floor is amazingly solid. This rare CJ2A is currently registered and driven, also comes with custom tow bar.”
This looks to be a good price. This might have been one of the ’48s with the spare on the driver’s side and the bow top holders on the passenger side.

It’s complete and runs, but need work.
“Decent condition 1948 CJ2A. Seats need to be refinished but frames are still there, and some body work will have to be done in the normal areas. Has spare tire carrier on back gate. Has full hard top. Started to break it down for restore but another vehicle caught my fancy. Engine smokes a little and carb has been taken off to soak. All the parts are there.”
It looks like a tiny periscope sticking out of the hood. Otherwise this looks solid.

I’m pretty sure the other stuff isn’t included.

This Jeep was fully restored by its previous owner, a former military mechanic who spent a lot of time restoring this vehicle and making it run amazing. After his death his wife sold it to us because we were friends and her kids didn’t want it. Runs amazingly, fully restored and hasn’t been driven off road since restoration, no scratches dings or even tears in the seat cushions, an instant parade, car show or whatever vehicle, this was the original ATV and can go anywhere you want it to, asking $18,000 for it, reasonable offers will of course be considered, email me for more info, pricing, pics or whatever. It runs. It even stops now.
“I bought this Jeep twenty years ago and rebuilt the engine. Since then I have only used it to plow snow in the driveway. I recently replaced the brake wheel cylinders and two brake lines to get the brakes to work. I used it 20 years without brakes; I never went fast enough that I couldn’t stop by lowering the snow blade. The lights don’t work; I never needed them. I never had it registered on the road. There is still a license plate on it from 1976. I imagine that was the last time it was registered”
