Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. The body has been placed onto a ’75 CJ frame, which means something had to be stretched (or the frame chopped) to make the body parts fixed. It appears the builder stretched the body at the point where the body normally meets the fenders. Meanwhile, it appears the hood was lengthened somehow (I can’t tell quite how).

I used to live in Madison and remember driving through the small town of Belleville. Given the lack of titles and the non-running condition, I suspect the price may drop.

“This jeep sat for 15 years it has been converted to 12v. Put a battery in and some fresh gas fired right up
willing to bring halfway or all the way for a few more dollars. Email me or call me @ (970)230-0376 as you can see the paint aint the best was used for hunting 15 years ago and a half a** attempt at camo was done and the motor is a willys 4c but not the original for this year but still a willys motor”

UPDATE: According to John, Mike got these home successfully. Apparently the VEC ’45 (#10910) is complete enough that it might be possible to get it running. For only $500 (plus gas), that’s a steal! See John’s comment below …
There’s some mixed and matched parts here. I believe that’s a CJ-3B windshield. I’m not entirely sure what the body is.

“1951 Willys CJ3A with plow and hard top runs but smokes needs brakes. 1963 Willys CJ6 rebuilt 4cyl runs great needs rear brake line and U-joint. Car trailer to haul them home on. I have current titles for everything. Package deal $2,500 FIRM. “

“1947 Willys Jeep (eats early broncos on any 4×4 course LOL). Powerful cammed 305 SBC with dual exhaust (30,000 on engine). Original Warn overdrive with existing drivetrain. Front lock-outs with big 11×2 inch brake upgrade. Runs excellent. Jeep was from California so the body is very good. Entire jeep needs some tlc in all areas to be extra nice. New master cylinder included, but not installed. Also included in sale is 2 brand new front buckets.”

This has a large number of good looking mods. The body is a bit beat up as if it’s seen a few trails (and there’s nothing wrong with that).

The Willys sits on American 15×10 wheels, 33×14 Super Swamper TSL bogger tires and is powered by a Heeney Racing built 230ci odd fire V6 engine. The Dauntless V6 is equipped with a mild performance cam, headers, Stinger Magna-Pulse electronic ignition, a Kenney Bell intake manifold & Holley 390cfm 4bbl carburetor.”

It has some rust, but it sure looks very stock and very complete.
“We received this beautiful little Jeep from a ranch in Poteet, Texas. The Jeep has spent the last 40 years as a ranch Jeep, and wasn’t driven outside of the ranch. Jeep starts up right away and runs, but it needs a complete restoration or you can keep it as is with a little brake work for you ranch. It has a light blue color we believe is original. The interior and the tail lights need work. All in all, it is a solid little toy that can become very valuable with a good restoration. The VIN number is 37934 the body number is 137934 …”
