“1947 Willys Jeep (eats early broncos on any 4×4 course LOL). Powerful cammed 305 SBC with dual exhaust (30,000 on engine). Original Warn overdrive with existing drivetrain. Front lock-outs with big 11×2 inch brake upgrade. Runs excellent. Jeep was from California so the body is very good. Entire jeep needs some tlc in all areas to be extra nice. New master cylinder included, but not installed. Also included in sale is 2 brand new front buckets.”

This has a large number of good looking mods. The body is a bit beat up as if it’s seen a few trails (and there’s nothing wrong with that).

The Dauntless V6 is equipped with a mild performance cam, headers, Stinger Magna-Pulse electronic ignition, a Kenney Bell intake manifold & Holley 390cfm 4bbl carburetor.”

It has some rust, but it sure looks very stock and very complete.
“We received this beautiful little Jeep from a ranch in Poteet, Texas. The Jeep has spent the last 40 years as a ranch Jeep, and wasn’t driven outside of the ranch. Jeep starts up right away and runs, but it needs a complete restoration or you can keep it as is with a little brake work for you ranch. It has a light blue color we believe is original. The interior and the tail lights need work. All in all, it is a solid little toy that can become very valuable with a good restoration. The VIN number is 37934 the body number is 137934 …”

This seller had their jeep appraised at $22,000.
“1946 Willys Overland CJ2A, Jeep, Original, Stock, Like New, After WW2 Willys tried to sell Jeeps as tractors, They added color options and a PTO on the rear. This Jeep is just like the one on the cover of the 1946 Willys sales brochure. Pasture Green with yellow wheels. You could not find a nicer one. The Jeep was appraised by High Performance Enterprises in Moses Lake Wa. @ $22000,00 dollars. I will look at all offers. The body looks pretty smooth on this, but the hood certainly is unusual. Also, it appears there is also an overdrive with it.

To keep with our recent front loader theme, Steve sent me some pics of what I’ll call a ‘custom’ loader (at least, I think it’s a one-off) mounted on the front of an old flattie. Don’t try this at home! Please! This was sold at an auction in Ames, Iowa a few years back.
