About eWillys
Welcome to eWillys.com, a website for vintage jeep enthusiasts. I update this website nearly every day with jeep deals, jeep history, interesting reader projects, jeep related info, and more.
These quick searches can help you find things on eBay. People list in the wrong categories all the time, so don't be surprised to see brochures in the parts area for example. This section used to be split into jeeps, parts and other categories, but recent changes to eBay will require this information to be recoded.
The links to posts below show jeeps grouped by models, condition, and other ways. Some of these jeeps are for sale and others have been sold. If you are unsure whether a vehicle is still for sale or not, email me at d [at] ewillys.com for more info.
Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. So, tread carefully when purchasing a "project". If you have any concerns about buying a vintage jeep, or run across a scam, feel free to contact me for help, comments or concerns .
“1947 Jeep Willys CJ2 for sale. $15k OBO
I am listing on behalf of a friend who has moved away.
Solid body and frame. Runs and drives well – only known issue is that one of the brakes starts to get sticky after longer drives. It was substantially rebuilt from the ground up about 5 years ago.
Otherwise, it’s in good shape and my friend would love for it to go to a Jeep enthusiast who can give it the love and enjoyment it deserves.”
“Mostly restored 1947 CJ2A. New systems: brakes, electrics, shocks, exhaust, windshield, ignition and fuel system. Motor is good at 27k miles. Ready for your tires of choice and body work, or just take it out as is. No title, you will need to get a bonded title from DMV if you want to put it on the road. You will have more fun with this than a modern side by side and make new friends as well. Cash or cashiers check.”
“1947 Willys CJ-2A. This jeep is in great condition, body and frame are straight and rust free. The motor is a 4 cylinder Ford engine and runs good. The 4WD and transmission work as they should. The tires are like new. Street legal and clean title. $6500 OBO”
“For sale 1948 Willys Cj 2A
Have been working on restoring this Jeep for the past couple of months. Just had a baby and focus has shifted away from it. Someone can pick up where I left off. I’m pretty good with the cosmetics and have been doing a lot of the work myself. Sealed up on the dash where once was a radio. Starts up but has good days and bad days idling and will not shift into gear for some reason. Underside pretty good please see photos and feel free to ask questions. (04/22/2021) The body of the M-38 might be a replacement body. It’s got driver-side indents, a sold back, and drain holes.
“I have two jeep willys for sale. Both have the original running gear still intact. The first is a 1952 with a clean texas title. It runs but the battery and cables aren’t the greatest so it’s easier to roll start it right now. The tires are good for pasture use but not for the road. It’s a pretty good jeep for a restoration if you’re looking for one to love on. The brakes need an overhaul and the fuel tank needs attention, we use an external tank on it. The second one does not have a title and I’m not sure what year it is. It’s whole but needs way more love or would be good for parts and such to help with fixing up the first. It ran years ago when we parked it but it would need alot of work. I’d like to sell both together but I’m open to offers”
