These quick searches can help you find things on eBay. People list in the wrong categories all the time, so don't be surprised to see brochures in the parts area for example. This section used to be split into jeeps, parts and other categories, but recent changes to eBay will require this information to be recoded.

Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. “1947 Willys CJ3A. Jeep has a small block Chevy th350 transmission t-20 transfer case, Dana 30 in the front with ARB Dana 44 knuckles with high steer and 5.38 gears. Rear has Dana 44 with Detroit locker, full floating axles and 5.38 gears. Complete new fuel system 22 gal aluminum fuel cell lines fuel pump and new Quadra jet carb. Has a tilt steering column a full swing out tire rack that holds the tire 2 Jerry cans and high lift jack. This is a great trail Jeep and one you can drive to the trail it is ready crawler”

“1948 Willys CJ-2A Engine is a 1964 Ford 289 with original T-90 3 speed transmission. Dana 18 Transfer case with high and low range. Dana 25 front axle and Dana 41 rear axle with 5.38:1 gear ratios.”
This flattie has had some work. The serial number of 26676 suggests it is a 1946 VEC, but maybe the “1” was forgotten in the front of the serial number.
“This Cheetah Willys Jeep has no rust, the original rebuilt engine, 11 inch brakes on the front with lock out 4WD hubs. The steering is Saginaw retro fit. Tight ride with all new brakes, lines and master. She runs great and is a truly fun ride.
This is the second car I built with my daughter after the 45 Ford Jeep. She also did the Cheetah paint job with me altering stripping the bondo job someone did and redoing the whole body. This car runs really well, fun to drive out in the open air, the windshield is detachable, tail gate opens. (doesn’t come with dog)”
“1946 Jeep Willys CJ2A
Original Body with matching ACM numbers on tailgate and gusset.
Engine is from a 1953 Jeep Willys. It runs great and starts up with one turn of the key.
All 4 brake cylinders replaced last month and master cylinder.

Listed as a CJ-2A, this might be a replacement tub. If it was a DJ-3A convertible tub, it would have two vertical supports inside the back of the tub.

“1948 Willys Jeep CJ2a runs great, many new parts including: gas tank, sending unit, gas gauge, ignition switch, headlight switch, hi/lo beam switch, steering wheel, spark plugs, fuel pump, and fuel lines. Also replaced exhaust manifold (cracked) and gaskets. Included but not installed new shift boots, master cylinder, plus more new parts. Engine, transmission, and transfer case previously rebuilt and work as they should. Carb rebuilt a few months ago. Recent oil/filter change. 4 of the 5 tires are very old, but all hold air.”
“I’ve owned CJ-2A serial #12683 for a couple of years, and I enjoyed it. The serial number indicates this Jeep was built in the first few weeks after the end of World War 2, making it a “VEC” (very early civilian) Jeep. I think it would be better off with someone with the time to restore it.
Overall the Jeep is in good condition considering its age: it runs and drives fine, though the brakes pull to the left; I’ve checked the adjustment of the brakes, and it seems fine, so I’d recommend disassembling the front brakes completely to see what’s going on before driving it.
