About eWillys
Welcome to eWillys.com, a website for vintage jeep enthusiasts. I update this website nearly every day with jeep deals, jeep history, interesting reader projects, jeep related info, and more.
These quick searches can help you find things on eBay. People list in the wrong categories all the time, so don't be surprised to see brochures in the parts area for example. This section used to be split into jeeps, parts and other categories, but recent changes to eBay will require this information to be recoded.
The links to posts below show jeeps grouped by models, condition, and other ways. Some of these jeeps are for sale and others have been sold. If you are unsure whether a vehicle is still for sale or not, email me at d [at] ewillys.com for more info.
Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. So, tread carefully when purchasing a "project". If you have any concerns about buying a vintage jeep, or run across a scam, feel free to contact me for help, comments or concerns .
“Winter time money maker, has a plow! New battery, brakes, differential seals, rebuilt carb, serviced. Engine rebuilt years prior. Passenger seat in. Back seat as well, needs reupholstered. Runs very well!!! d”
“SOMEONE CALLED THIS A “REDNECK SPORTS CAR”…ABOUT SUMS IT UP. THIS IS 1948 CJ2A WITH AN EARLY 60’S CORVETTE 283 V8 THAT RUNS WELL. IT DOES HAVE LOUD MUFFLERS ON IT…NOT MY CHOICE BUT THAT’S HOW IT WAS WHEN I BOUGHT IT. THE SEATS ARE NEWER, HOWEVER I WILL THROW IN THE ONES I WAS GOING TO REPLACE THEM WITH BECAUSE I DON’T LIKE RACING SEATS (SEEING HOW THIS ISN’T A RACING JEEP!).
IT HAS A MUNCIE 4 SPEED THAT SHIFTS WELL AND A DRUM-REAR, DISC-FRONT SET UP. THE DISCS ARE NEWER FROM KAISER WILLYS AND THE RIMS ARE NEW REPOPS WITH DECENT TREAD ON THE SCHWAB TIRES. THE PREVIOUS OWNER DID A RE-WIRE WITH A “PAINLESS” JEEP SYSTEM THAT WAS FOR A NEW JEEP AND HASN’T BEEN PAINLESS. I HAVE ALL THE NECESSARY THINGS WORKING BUT THERE IS A LOT OF CIRCUITS LEFT IN CASE YOU’RE INTO STEREOS, LIGHTS ETC. IT HAS A NEW BATTERY BUT AFTER 3-4 DAYS IT DRAWS DOWN. I DON’T DO ELECTRIC STUFF SO GUESSING AN ALTERNATOR…BUT IT COULD BE SOMETHING REAL SIMPLE BASED ON WHAT I’VE SAID ALREADY ABOUT THE WIRING HARNESS. ALL THE GUAGES SEEM TO WORK EXCEPT THE GAS…HAVEN’T LOOKED INTO IT, AND MAYBE THAT’S SIMPLE TOO.
THE BACK SEAT IS A TOOL BOX SO YOU CAN RIDE 4 AND STILL HAUL THE NECESSARIES. I CAN ANSWER SOME QUESTIONS. I’VE OWNED IT SINCE LAST FALL, WORKED ON IT THROUGH THE WINTER AND GOT IT GOING ABOUT THE TIME COVED STARTED…SO IT HASN’T BEEN REGISTERED. IF I HANG ON TO IT MUCH LONGER I WILL BUT I’M NOT DRIVING IT EXCEPT TO KEEP IT WARMED UP AND RUNNING AROUND A MILE OR TWO OUT IN THE COUNTRY. IT’S MORE OF A PROJECT THAN I CAN DEVOTE TO, SO PERHAPS THIS IS YOUR HOBBY. THE SHIFT KNOB WILL BE THE METAL ONE NOT THE ANTLER AND I’M KEEPING THE HI-LIFT JACK AND CONTENTS OF THE TOOL BOX. OTHER THAN THAT, WHAT YOU SEE IS WHAT YOU GET.”
“Its 1947 willys stretched to fit on shorten 80’s toyota frame and running gear, has 22r with 5speed has new 4inch lift springs, it is a project that never got finished and i lost intrest in, has no title. Its not far from being a running rig. What you see is what you get, can deliver for the right price. Im firm on price of $1000.00”
“1946 Willys Jeep CJ2A, Sounds like the Jeeps on MASH. No title, Buyer Pick Up Only. Condition is Used. Jeep has about 1,700 mile on it since it was refurbished and has lived in California for most of its life. Runs strong and straight. No steering pulling and brakes well. I drove it about a hundred miles in the last week or so and put it into storage. Sometimes, in second gear, it will pop out of gear if are letting up on the gas. And, sometimes ‘grates’ when going into second – could be the operator, too. The battery is not getting charged for some reason. There is a small tear in the left cargo cushion. Tires look good but they are the same ones that were on it when I bought it 16 years ago. Has never been ‘off road’ or banged around. As is, where is. Buyer to arrange shipping and bears the cost. Great vehicle for The 4th of July. This is a very original Jeep. She always turns heads.”
“I’m selling 1943 Willys Jeep . Been sitting for past 32 yrs . Needs restoration. Has the original willys 4 flat engine . Has two spare rims tires aren’t any good on them . Jeep doesn’t not run . Bill of sale .”

“Running and road ready Jeep with new fuel tank, sender and master cylinder. Has canvas covering and frame rails with doors. lock out front hubs for 2wd. good tires all around and has clear title. will need passenger side windshield”
“1946 Willys cj2a for sale. Jeep runs and drives good. Has new brake lines and it stops good too. Has the original rear seat and heater that works. Tires are real good as well. It has the flathead 4 cyl/3 spd trans. The lights work on the jeep as well. The jeep isn’t perfect but pretty decent for its age. It has a clear Missouri title.”
“1948 Jeep CJ2A restoration project. Mostly complete and original. Some restoration started. Runs and yard drives. Frame is solid, Tub is rough. Has new floor panels not installed. Has clean Mass. title See pics. $2500 firm.”
“This 1947 Willys CJ2A was acquired by the seller out of Georgia in 2018 and has since been repowered with a Kubota 2.2-liter turbodiesel inline-four mated to a three-speed manual gearbox and a two-speed transfer case. The body has been repainted in a desert camouflage scheme, and the truck is lifted over 32″ tires on beadlock wheels. Additional modifications include a roll cage, side steps, power steering, an 8k-pound winch, replacement seats, and more. This CJ2A is offered with a Bestop top and doors, refurbishment photos, and Vermont registration in the seller’s name.”
