Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. “1946 Willys Jeep. First year of the Civilian Jeep. Runs great, drives great. Motor, transmission, transfer case, differentials, brakes all recently rebuilt. New leaf springs with small lift, good tires, recent paint. Has the rare Power-Take-Off option. Aluminum top in great condition. Clear title and current Oklahoma tag. Ready for work or recreation”

“Has original engine and drivetrain. 4 cylinder flathead engine 3 speed manual transmission, two speed high- low transmission with 4 wheel drive . Jacked up and put on jackstands and checked 4 wheel drive and it works. Frame looks solid with no new welds. The front half of body is real good shape the rear half has bondo. Engine has a little blowby but does not smoke, has 12 volt alternator that does not work, engine has good oil pressure. I do not have the original seats. Clear title in hand that matches the vin on the jeep. Comes with 4 military wheels and tires, the tires are weatherchecked, new exhaust and very good original gas tank. Runs and drives, drove it 1/2 mile last week. Needs brakes. If interested Cash only, not interested in making trades.”

I am the 2nd owner of this Arizona Jeep, Has a Chevy 350, Muncie 4 speed mated to a Dana 18 with advanced adapter, 11 inch brakes out of a ’72 Bronco, power steering, full best top, no rust, shorty headers, Edelbrock 500, with Edelbrock manifold, full roll cage, less than 1000 miles on the new motor, clean title, new shocks, Ramsey 8000 lb PTO winch, tow bar, Goodyear 33×12.50×15 MTR’s with tons of miles left.”

“Known as a rare “early” model, this particular civilian Jeep has the military tool indents on the driver’s side as Willys was making a running change from the military model to the civilian model. Later in that year those tool indents were deleted. Many new parts, too many too list. Jeep was kept mostly stock. This vehicle is a real head-turner and you will get smiles everywhere you go.”

“Up for sale is a Go Devil long block engine. It came out of a running CJ2a a couple of years ago. It has been on the engine stand in my heated shop since it was pulled. I have put a new head gasket on it. Just selling some of the parts that I don’t need from older projects.”
