“For Sale: $3,000
1947 Jeep Willys CJ-2A
Clear NM Title
Original “Go Devil” L-134 engine
Original T-90 transmission
Original Dana 18 transfer case
Body has some rust that will need to be repaired or used as a parts vehicle for another project. Engine ran when previous owner had it but parked it about 10 years ago after water pump started to leak. I have not tried to run it since getting it but engine does rotate and has non-contaminated oil.
The Bad: The passenger side storage is rusted (very common) and the original owner welded on a spare tire mount that has cracked the body right next to it. No seats, the previous owner welded in some seats that were complete junk so I started removing them.
Prefer e-mail. If you want pictures of anything let me know, I have lots of them.
Not looking for trades or willing to entertain low ball offers.”
That’s one of the more unusual hood bumps.

(11/09/2019) Rear of the body has some dents. More pics would be useful for this militarized 2A.

“Rebuilt engine, new tires, like new removable military canvas summer top, runs good!”
Seller listed the price as $2000, but is interested in offers. The top is dented (from a tree)? and the front bumper looks like it hit something. It’s been parked since 1972.

“If this is posted, yes it’s still available. I will no longer respond to the 30-40 people per day asking that question.
A literal barn-find 1947 CJ2A. Good title in hand. Mostly complete and in unmolested condition. Does NOT run. Bring a trailer and cash, or ask about possibly delivering (for a fee). Needs restoration.
Our business is restoring WWII and classic Jeeps. We simply have too many projects, so we’re letting this one go to free up some space. Does NOT run. NEEDS restoration. HAS title. PROJECT Jeep”
It’s missing a few stock details (pto bar and rear lights), but otherwise looks in good shape.

(03/01/2020) Runs and drives.
“First year after war production. Starts, runs, drives. Needs glass for windshield. Windshield frame and tailgate not shown, but included. Pretty nice shape now, it was a basket case when I got it. No title, but I have bill of sale from previous owner. Make a really good hunt vehicle.”
