About eWillys
Welcome to eWillys.com, a website for vintage jeep enthusiasts. I update this website nearly every day with jeep deals, jeep history, interesting reader projects, jeep related info, and more.
These quick searches can help you find things on eBay. People list in the wrong categories all the time, so don't be surprised to see brochures in the parts area for example. This section used to be split into jeeps, parts and other categories, but recent changes to eBay will require this information to be recoded.
The links to posts below show jeeps grouped by models, condition, and other ways. Some of these jeeps are for sale and others have been sold. If you are unsure whether a vehicle is still for sale or not, email me at d [at] ewillys.com for more info.
Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. So, tread carefully when purchasing a "project". If you have any concerns about buying a vintage jeep, or run across a scam, feel free to contact me for help, comments or concerns .
” have three Willys Jeeps 1942,1946 & 1949. One has current tags and inspection. I have two blue titles. All three will run and drive one does not have brakes(1942). I have too many extra parts to list. Some are new for the one that I had planed to keep, but I have lost interest. Lost my deer lease and I’m not going to finish or need these anymore. All three were started and two of them driven 3/1/2020. Some of the extra parts are in another location 20 minuets away. The whole collection sells as one lot. SOLD AS IS $15500.00.”
“I have a 1946 Willys CJ2A with a mild lift, 33” tires, full roll cage, and a ford 302 engine. I just went through the engine with my boys as a “teaching experience”. We put ported heads, new Summit torquer cam (0-5000), new lifters, new timing chain/gears, roller rockers, valve covers, and a new Edelbrock carburetor. The bottom end is bored .40 over with flat top pistons etc etc etc. What we learned is that a CJ2A can pop wheelies!!
That was not the lesson I was trying to teach my 13 and 15 year old so the “death trap” needs to go to someone with a more developed frontal lobe than my boys. I just put new front brakes (11″ drums) on it including rubber lines, slaves, and pads. It has the original 3 speed trans which pops out of 2nd when coasting sometimes. I do have some new polaris seats that go with the jeep. I also have a soft top that looks good but I have never put it on. There is a new aluminum radiator, fan, dual chamber brake master, etc etc etc.
It is a lot of Jeep for the money but someone needs to bleed the rear brakes, and tinker with it a bit. I have it set so only the primaries open on the carb. Adjust them at your own risk. The engine idles perfectly smoothe but has a ton of power for a jeep this size. $4500 obo Body is very straight but has some paint peeling on the hood. Very little rust or corrosion.”
“1946 Willy’s last ran in 2009 needs work but have the original motor and a 1955 currently runs but breaks are froze call if interested 3,500$ or will trade for trike or three wheeled motorcycle”
“This is a 1948 CJ3A Willys Jeep with 4wd. It has a new rebuilt 327 chevy motor with a 4 speed transmission. Has custom seat front and rear. 12 volt system, stainless steel radiator, edelbrock carb. with electronic choke, custom wheel and Mickey Thompson Baja tires with less than 500 miles on them. It also had a chevy steering box and comes with a tow bar. Just installed a new gas tank. This jeep has a lots of power and the Body is straight and if you want a jeep where you can go anywhere this is it.”
