Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. “A previous owner wished to pay a fitting tribute to his uncle, converting this 1948 Willys CJ-2A into a military-style vehicle for parades and displays. It served nobly in that role and has done so intermittently since the current owner purchased it in 2016. However, all good things must end. The owner no longer has the time to devote to this classic, which has seen little recent use. Therefore, he has listed the Willys exclusively with us as a Barn Finds Auction.”

“Up for sale is a 1946 Willy’s Jeep CJ2A. Included are 2 full engines, 2 full transmissions (1 top and 1 side shift), 2 full transfer cases, and a Borg Warner overdrive. As you can see everything is in pieces (thanks to the previous owner) but from what I can tell all the major components are here for everything. I also have a brand new transmission and transfer case rebuild kit which I’ll throw in too! According to the previous owner it ran when he took it apart.
The body is rusty but due to being in California it is in fairly good shape. There are a few holes here and there, a few patch jobs, and a few Bondo jobs, but overall seems solid (I can jump on the floor and remain standing).
Feel free to ask any questions and I’ll be happy to answer what I can. A flatbed will be required to pick up. I may be able to help with transportation for the right price depending on the distance.”

Gary Williams 1150 Dominator, Reher Morrison intake, heavily worked Dart Pro 1 heads, Ron Davis radiator, Eagle rotating assembly, Jessel rockers, oversized .904 Howard’s solid lifters, custom cam from Forsyth speed, Ross custom pistons, Custom Hooker headers, pro star 500 pump, Best of the Best from front to back. in this configuration it made 989 hp on an engine Dyno, but can easily be de-tuned to 800hp. I have complete professional build sheets. PowerGlide w/4500 stall (2k HP build), scatter shield and drive line loop. Modified Dana 60 (4 link) w/removable wheelie bar, spool w/6.17 gears, 35 spline Mosers. Areospace brakes, QA1 shocks w/adjustable height linkage.
