These quick searches can help you find things on eBay. People list in the wrong categories all the time, so don't be surprised to see brochures in the parts area for example. This section used to be split into jeeps, parts and other categories, but recent changes to eBay will require this information to be recoded.

Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. “It’s a 1946 Willys CJ2A tilt up shell, full drag chassis built by Rick Thomas in Hesperia ca., Wally World Custom paint. 568 C.I. Dart Big M. Gary Williams 1150 Dominator, Reher Morrison intake, heavily worked Dart Pro 1 heads, Ron Davis radiator, Eagle rotating assembly, Jessel rockers, oversized .904 Howard’s solid lifters, custom cam from Forsyth speed, Ross custom pistons, Custom Hooker headers, pro star 500 pump, Best of the Best from front to back. in this configuration it made 989 hp on an engine Dyno, but can easily be de-tuned to 800hp. I have complete professional build sheets. PowerGlide w/4500 stall (2k HP build), scatter shield and drive line loop. Modified Dana 60 (4 link) w/removable wheelie bar, spool w/6.17 gears, 35 spline Mosers. Areospace brakes, QA1 shocks w/adjustable height linkage. I Have a complete ledger of the build. make me an offer.”
“First time here. I have a CJ5 1960 that is “fresh”. Fiberglass tub and also front clip. So many new parts but everything is new.
Tires, brakes (including nickel lines, Wheel cylinders, Shoes, Stainless flex lines and master cylinder), All Glass, Both seats, Steering wheel, USB Speedometer, plastic 16 gal fuel cell, LED headlights, One wire Alternator, New Carb, New Distributor, new Aluminum radiator, All electrical ( my own DYI), Soft doors on the half cab( I tried), Rough Rider Springs and Shocks (2 1/2 lift). Adorable Half Cab. It has a Satin Red wrap and metal rear corners. This was a “winter project” and I just kept buying new pieces. I am not professional and more of a DYI with a love for cars. It has a “sticky” clutch that seems to work when it wants to. The engine is stock except for the carb, distributor, alternator and radiator. I drove it 60 miles yesterday home from the barn it has been in since finished.”

Show your friends what a real Side by Side is, put 400 HP under the hood and bolt on some paddle tires!
Has a rear tow hook to pull those $40,000 SBS out when they get stuck!
Maybe build a 2 wheel drive Straight Axle Rat Rod, 5.9 Cummins with a straight stack through the hood!

Had a 455 Buick that the previous owner kept for another project, was a running driving Jeep.
Maybe a small or big block Chevy with a adapter to the BPO T400
Currently has 12.00 x 16.5 tires will knock $450 off if you dont want them bring your wheels and tires.
Body is rough but intact would make a great Sand Dunes Jeep, Mud racer or Off road Jeep many posibilites, can have fun with this one at a fraction of the Cost of a new Side by Side and not worry about denting or scratching it, besides it will sound better!
Clear Title will need the lights wired for road use.

“1946 willys jeep that was one time used as a sand dragster, (wild oats). I bought it as a project with a blown motor and trans. No rust, fiberglass tub and boxed frame. I rebuilt the SBC engine and trans for street use. Zero miles since done. Added all street legal requirements, head lights, tail, turn, stop, high beams, horn, windshield and wiper. Has brand new mud terrain tires and wheels. I added 4.88 gears and a powerloc to the front diff. The rear is a dana 44 with a spool. Chp would not allow me to license for street use. It is licensed for off road use. I do have current registration and pink slip. Come and get it for this season in the dunes.”
