About eWillys
Welcome to eWillys.com, a website for vintage jeep enthusiasts. I update this website nearly every day with jeep deals, jeep history, interesting reader projects, jeep related info, and more.
These quick searches can help you find things on eBay. People list in the wrong categories all the time, so don't be surprised to see brochures in the parts area for example. This section used to be split into jeeps, parts and other categories, but recent changes to eBay will require this information to be recoded.
The links to posts below show jeeps grouped by models, condition, and other ways. Some of these jeeps are for sale and others have been sold. If you are unsure whether a vehicle is still for sale or not, email me at d [at] ewillys.com for more info.
Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. So, tread carefully when purchasing a "project". If you have any concerns about buying a vintage jeep, or run across a scam, feel free to contact me for help, comments or concerns .
(03/17/2019) A 3B hood has been added to the 2A and a funky grille mod was installed to make it work. This looks to have a rare aluminum Worman hardtop.
“1946 CJ2A Willys Jeep. Good running order. Has Studebaker Champion 6 cyl. flat head engine and full metal cab. Also have spare transmission and transfer case.”
” 1947 Willy’s (cj2a) 1979 v6 buick motor Moser 4 speed transmission Dana 20 transfer case International scout 2 Dana 44 front and rear Fires up and runs great Other upgrades: hydraulic e brake, 4 wheel drive works, 31” tires”
“1948 Willys with a Ford V8 312 manual 3 speed on the floor . We just gone all over the brakes it runs and drives . The body is in good condition and comes with a snow plow and 4 wheel drive . This would make a great mountain buggy”
“I have a 1948 Willy’s cj2a I am selling. Newly wired turn signals and brake lights as well as newly wired gas gauge. New windshield and glass. New paint and seats out of a newer wrangler. Title can not be traced so you will need to get a reconstructed title for the vehicle to register. New pro comp wheels and mud terrain tires installed and balanced by More Than Tires in Carlisle. Original wheels and tires included in purchase. Runs and shifts like it did new. Optimal battery installed last summer. Fun summer vehicle to take to shows but just have other demands.”
I can’t remember if I shared this one or not. So, here we go (possibly again) … This oddity was built from parts left over from projects. The pics were shared on Facebook, but unfortunately I didn’t save the post, so I can’t tell you who built this.
“Jeep. Willy’s – 1946 CJ2A. Completely restored. Too many new parts to list. Original 4-134L motor converted to 12V. New custom roll-bar with seat belts. Soft-top with doors. Starts, runs, drives great.”
“This is a 1948 CJ2A with a fiberglass body, it has a Three speed with overdrive and a 1967 CJ5 V6. The motor is a 225 dauntless. With the over drive and V6 you can cruise at 60 but drives a bit steadier at 50. Plenty of power. I put new tires, new coil, new shocks and bunch seals and gaskets. I had pulled the motor and transmission to replace gaskets and seals. I still have a few leaks, I have an exhaust leak and some blow by. I also put new drums and pads, replaced the master cylinder and replaced some of the older break lines. It is titled a 1948 and all the parts I ordered came correct. Haveing the overdrive allows you to stay in 2nd in town and the overdrive shifts smooth as silk. Fun to drive I am just thinking of going b ack to two wheels. The speedo cable was broke when I bought it and I replaced it. I have no,idea of the real milage”
