Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. “***CALLS ONLY, I DON’T RETURN TEXTS***FOR SALE*** 1946 Jeep CJ2A. All original. Runs great All new brake system front to rear. All repacked wheel bearings. Tires near new. Good seats. Wiper motor works. All lights work. Top in good shape. Paint job is an amateur job (a good 10 footer). I bought this with plans to do a complete restore…but plans have changed. Could be driven the way it is. Needs a speedometer. Has a factory heater but I know nothing about its condition. All metal tub. No rust issues. Currently titled and licensed in SD. ”
Listed as a 1946, the frame may be a CJ-3A chassis.

This seems to be a mix of a GPW chassis and a VEC CJ-2A body.

I can’t tell what the cage-looking thing in the rear cargo area does. Maybe some kind of lockbox?
“1947 Willys CJ2a Jeep, clean and excellent condition, drives very well, all stock body, no modifications, 12 volt conversion, no rust, drive line in good working order, no clunking, drives straight, has aftermarket wheels, tires, and overdrive giving 4 forward gears, near new tires, no top or wipers, has fender flare accessories, originally a California vehicle and moved to Texas since 2013, has extras, located near Austin TX, $9,800 firm for quick sale.”
It appears to have an MB/GPW body and engine.

“I am selling my 1947 CJ2A. This is a great jeep! Starts, runs and drives great! Tow bar for pulling behind. I replaced the starter about a year ago. Leaks a little oil. There is a small crack in the windshield frame that is easily fixable but the glass is in perfect shape. 3 speed, high and low range 4 wheel. Transmission and transfer case work great. The driver seat has been modified for a little extra leg room.
