This section used to be split into jeeps, parts and other categories, but recent changes to eBay will require this information to be recoded.

Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. I have two flathead 4 Jeep engines, several transmissions and transfercases, power take off for Jeep, fenders, hoods, windshield frames, grills, tailgates, roll bars and other stuff for early flat fender Jeeps. “Documented frame off restoration and 12 volt done by previous owner. Always stored indoors.
It started right up and idles properly after two years of sitting. The known issues:
Pops out of 2nd gear, leaks at rear diff seal and maybe rear seal on engine.
Also this time around the brake pedal goes to the floor so brakes not operating.
Engine serial does not match. This rig needs attention, I’m not a mechanic.
You will need to trailer it away. Collector plates, $9,000.00 cash no counter offers please.”
None are complete, but there could be value in the parts, given that one engine has been overhauled.

There are three tubes, three windshield frames, two sets of front fenders, two hoods, three frames, two front axles, two rear axles, one transmission that needs overhauled. (11/27/2018) Listed as a 1949, the serial number makes it a very late 1948.
“There is no vehicle title, never has been, but I do have the last registration card from 1974 and 1975. Was licensed last in 1974. Has not been run for at least 20 years. Engine is free to turn, you can rotate it by hand. Has 15″ wheels on vehicle. Several extra/additional parts included:
New fuel tank.
Set of 4 16″ wheels.
Carburetor.
Transfer case.
Starter.
Water pump.
Distributor.
Power take off.
Tow bar.”
