Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $650.
Dan spotted this crazy thing. The transmission cross member suggests it is a 2A and the grille suggests it is most likely a ’46.
“I’m selling an old flat fender flathead willys Jeep. This was a barn find, I know very little about it’s history and have no paper work on it. All I know is that it came from Canada and it was used as a snow plow at one time, it made its way down to Washington and then sat in a barn for 40 years. Very interesting custom body with suicide doors. Both door latches and roll down windows work. Has PTU gearbox on rear bumper but the drive shaft from the transmission is missing. Engine is in ruff shape, I have not tried to turn it over yet. Drive train seams to be in working order. What you see is what you get. I will leave it on my flatbed trailer so I can deliver it to you. I will deliver it as far as Idaho and Northern California for a charge of $1 a mile.”

Has a replacement body. Could be a good price.
“Jeep is in excellent condition. Everything is restored and rebuilt. $10,255 put into this beauty and have all documentation to show. Total rebuilt 12 volt, 3-spd engine with 488 miles on it. This is a great buy, because everything is done! Just drive and enjoy.”

(08/31/2018) This is a fun, old school build. I can’t remember seeing another top like that one.
“1947 Jeep Willys. 283 Small Block Chevrolet engine. Warn overdrive aux. transmission. 3 speed plus overdrive, removable top. Runs and drives great. Paint is showing it’s age, but still presentable.”

“This 1946 Willys Jeep has the original motor but will not start. The motor does turnover but will not fire-up. It does have some rust damage to the body (see pic.s).
I bought it years ago and all I have is a “bill of sale”, no title or registration.
It does have the PTO lever but that is all no shaft going to the front or back.
It has a new carburetor and fuel pump and at sometime converted to a 12 volt system.”
Has a Monroe Lift.
