Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. Factory column shift, with working farm implement PTO.
Original color is Harvest Tan, with Sunset Red ( 4) original wheels.
Has period correct SEARS aluminum top, doors, windows all function properly.
Recent repairs/replacement componants include: L134 engine,
transmission, transfer case, drive lines, rear differential, brakes w/essential associated components, OEM wire harness, 6 volt system, starter, generator, light switch all components function.
Has working 6 volt “KEYED COIL”
INCLUDES two original willys keys.
Jeep is “UNCUT” , frame is excellent condition.
Jeep will need correct rear seat, and tool box lid. Partial front floor boards, and misc man made holes patched.
The 1946 licence plate was purchased by me.
I have clear title and registration in my name.
This RARE jeep is for the very serious collector.

The grille is 2A, but the rest of the body parts appear military. Lots of drivetrain mods.
“1946 Jeep CJ2A, Clean older build. First year government sold to public. 225 Buick [GM] V6, 3 speed auto trans. Boxed frame, Full roll cage, Tilt steering column, 1975 CJ 5 drive train 373 gear ratio [ I pull it behind the motor home at 60-65 MPH with no problem ] It has under 2000 miles build, Warn 1085 winch [ and no I won’t sell the winch separate ] 18 gallon fuel tank with drain plug and new inline filter, No rust at all !!!, off frame build. Brand new battery, Rebuilt and Dyno’d carb, CB, New Bimini top, Rear seat with seat belts, Front shoulder belts and more. Its one of the cleanest flat fenders around. Ive taken this little jeep everywhere, fishing Bishop, Owens River, Mammoth. Its never let me down, Ive taken my family 50 miles in from pavement camping.Clean title in my name, Just paid 2018 Tags, You can drive it home. 7800.00 OBO, That tow bar does not come with it, but I have another one.”

“1948 Willy’s Flat Fender Jeep. This Jeep is part of my father’s estate. He drove the Jeep and then parked it in his back yard. There it has sat for several years until his death. I put it on a trailer to get it to its present location. The brakes do not work at this time. Please do not text.”

(12/20/2017) The seller indicates this was column shift CJ-2A (#37254) that has been restored to “original condition”. Yet, it has a floor shifter. It’s certainly possible that this originally came with a floor shift. There are a few other non stock things done on this as well.

It’s a crazy price. That said, it does have a nice example of a Blue Star hardtop and what appear to be late model Free Lock hubs.
