Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. “Selling my 1948 Willys CJ 2a
1948 Willys CJ2A project. I bought it just like it is. The body on this is in surprisingly good shape, not really rusted through anywhere on the outside. The rockers and bottoms of the fenders are solid. The floor is about the only place that needs patched.
Supposedly the previous owner had the engine rebuilt, but it hasn’t been started yet and I haven’t tried. Turns over freely and has definitely been out. Through the inspection plate, it appears as if the clutch is new too. Brakes don’t currently work. Transmission shifts through all gears as it should.
Here’s what I know are missing: Headlights,tailgate,starter, front seats, and gas tank
I don’t have a title, but I will provide a notarized bill of sale which is what you’ll need to get it registered in this state”

New gas tank and gauges that haven’t been installed yet. This is no show piece but will be road/trail ready with minimal work needed. Solid frame and body. Starts and drives, carb needs adjustment though.”

“For sale is a 1947 Willys Jeep CJ2A. This Jeep came from the state of Wyoming and is probably the nicest original CJ2A you will find. The body condition is in incredible. The only rust is a small portion of a hat channel under the driver seat. I got it running the other day and runs great with no smoke. This Jeep has everything on it that came from the factory. What you see is the original red paint. This would be the perfect Jeep to restore as it is very complete. I also have another CJ2A and a 1964 CJ3B that is in very good condition for sale. All have titles.”
The green CJ-2A and blue CJ-3B are also for sale. No prices listed.
