Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. “RELISTED, buyer lost there second home in Florida: Very customized 1947 Willys Jeep, only two summers run on total rebuilt engine, Buick odd fire V6 160hp. T90 transmission three speed with Warn overdrive. Total restoration build four years ago. Everything gone through. Lots of customization: Fuel tank removed from under the seat, cj5 fuel tank under rear body.”

“This is a great running 1946 Jeep Willys. Body is in great shape with very minimal rustish spots. Comes with the soft top in the pictures. Converted to 12v, new starter, new break master cylinder and I am currently changing out the fuel tank to finish with the must does to sell it at this price. Please keep in mind that this is a 46 so it is going to take some tinkering with from time to time. Looking for someone that is wanting a fun collectors item. This is something that I do not have to get rid of so i need to get pretty close to this price.”

Has M-151 rims in the back. This might track funny with those in the back and the others in the front.
“4 Cylinder “go devil” engine with 1,200 miles on rebuild engine. Best top (Tiger Top) excellent condition, no rips or tears, glass (plastic) excellent condition no cracks or rips. Extra rims for 16 inch tires, non directional military, or 16 in civilian tires. Lot of extra parts manifolds, carburetor, distributor, etc.”

(06/02/2017) The body has had some work, as the steps have been altered and the drain holes filled. It doesn’t have a title.
“1946 Jeep Willys, 4X4 with original F-Head 4-cylinder engine. Jeep has been semi-restored, most engine components have been rebuilt to include starter, radiator, fuel tank, carburetor, spark plugs, wires, etc. Jeep has been rhino-sprayed inside the tub, rear and front bumpers, and rear cargo rack…I have military style decals (large star) for hood…Jeep has no title, therefore you would need to get a bond in order to title and register it in Texas…”
