About eWillys
Welcome to eWillys.com, a website for vintage jeep enthusiasts. I update this website nearly every day with jeep deals, jeep history, interesting reader projects, jeep related info, and more.
These quick searches can help you find things on eBay. People list in the wrong categories all the time, so don't be surprised to see brochures in the parts area for example. This section used to be split into jeeps, parts and other categories, but recent changes to eBay will require this information to be recoded.
The links to posts below show jeeps grouped by models, condition, and other ways. Some of these jeeps are for sale and others have been sold. If you are unsure whether a vehicle is still for sale or not, email me at d [at] ewillys.com for more info.
Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. So, tread carefully when purchasing a "project". If you have any concerns about buying a vintage jeep, or run across a scam, feel free to contact me for help, comments or concerns .
“It sat too long it has to go. Selling house soon It is in Sacramento near Carmichael. We found the title 1948 model You have to bring trailer. I cannot help anyone to load it on trailer I’m out of town til this weekend”
“1948 CJ-2A with CJ-3A windshield with clear title. L134 Flathead, 3 speed T-90 tranny and Dana 18 Transfer case, and Carter 636SA carb. Always garaged and driven in good weather. Starts and drives perfectly, with smooth shifting gears and working 4 wheel drive. Bestop top with doors. Converted to 12V. High torque mini starter with key start and electronic ignition. Good Cooper Discoverer tires, turn signals, seat belts, solid frame, original body, and floor panels with no rust or bondo. Sidesteps, tow bar and floor mats. Has shift lever for what I believe is part of the PTO under the lever. See photos for history since owned.”
(01/12/2024) The red CJ-2A looks in reasonable shape. Note the hubs on the blue jeep (last pic). I thought those might be McCain hubs, but they are not.
“I have 3 willy jeeps. 1 is in really good condition, runs good. Converted to 12 volt, brake and tail lights hooked up, started redoing it but never finished. Other 2 for parts. Running one has the extended box that can go on back”
“it’s a 2 seater 1948 Jeep Willy’s with a 289 ford mustang motor runs good it’s 4 wheel drive with a automatic transmission current registration recently replaced the carburetor and did a tune up on it $9000 OBO need gone asap”
“1947 Jeep willy has good paint great tires no rust under belly has a soft top to keep the wind out it’s a great piece of history and is an eye catcher one of the only cars that has 4×4 . CONS: does need some work it’s fires up and runs just the carburetor needs to be cleaned up and breaks need a new master cylinder which I have brand new in the box along with new wheel cylinder.”
This solid looking 2A with updates has a replacement body. The tank has been moved into the back with a filler tube through the tailgate (I presume the tailgate no longer functions).
“Old School build in family since 1956. 350hp/350 Chevrolet engine. Manual transmission with electric 33% overdrive. Dual fuel tanks, PTO winch, Dana 44 rear with post, Dana 25 front with post. Power steering, new battery and fuel pump (mechanical is new) electric fuel pump. 12” Lincoln brakes. This needs a new home with someone that can enjoy it.”
“1946 Jeep Willy’s Runs needs brakes and seats … ready for restoration and fun pink in hand tags are current open to trades for 70’s Chevy truck or a 450 quad”
