Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. “1948 Willy’s Jeep, frame off restoration. Just a few things to make great. Front marker lights, fuel gauge ground, speedo not accurate but works. Does include a spare. New gauges, wiring harness, tires. Still six volt, uses electric key start.”

“Beautifully restored 1948 Willy’s jeep, very low mileage, garage kept except for the past few weeks. It has a 50 ft heavy duty winch tat works, body in prefect condition. Original engine. For more information plz message. It’s been I the family for over 50 years and has been well taken care of. It will start but needs carbonator rebuilt, tires, and a battery. It’s a true classic. May be willing to trade for a newer truck, depending.”

(03/09/2018) Appears solid, but I can’t tell if the boy has imperfections or if the glossy paint is making it look that way.
Oh my! This has a rare DJ-3A air cleaner. If someone buys this jeep, I’d be interested in that air cleaner.

Has some updates, include a Vortex V-6.
“1946 Jeep Willys original body and drive train. 3 speed T-90 transmission with 4 wheel drive. Warn Locking hubs. This jeep had a new paint job. interior is rhino lined. all lights and gauges function as they should. comes with an original and extremely rare 1947 removable dually kit, that was sandblasted and repainted. It is currently on the vehicle. It can stay on or can be removed as desired. Has a modified engine with a Vortec v-6 rebuilt with under 100 miles on it.
The seats have been recovered and look new. it has a CJ-3A windshield because i liked the look better than the CJ 2-A. functioning driver side wiper. I also have the blinker set up that i haven’t set up yet. Starts on the first turn. Was converted to a 12volt alternator. rear disc brakes. color combo is beautiful. has minor imperfections but this is not a repro body. Has all the hardware for a canvas soft top. This is a once in a lifetime opportunity to own a jeep willys with real temporary dually…I’ve searched for over 20 years to find the dually kit.

As militarized CJ-2As go, this looks pretty good.
