Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. “I have for sale a complete CJ2A. No title and ID tags on jeep are missing. I believe it to be later ’46 or ’47 as it has the older style bell crank and drag link. Motor, (#J186141), runs very well and cooling system holds coolant. Transmission and clutch work, are complete and unit moves under its own power. Brakes need work. Body is visually not bad but floors are rusty. Frame is pretty decent. There is some repairable rust that is not structural…yet. Gauges are complete. Original floor starter. seat frames good. windshield frame good. Hood and grill are not bad. Original 16″ rims with chrome trim rings. Very good raw material for restoration or just to used for beating around off road.”
