This section used to be split into jeeps, parts and other categories, but recent changes to eBay will require this information to be recoded.

Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. (11/01/2017) Engine needs rebuilding.
“FOR SALE: 1949 Willys Jeep CJ3A. I have owned this Jeep for 20+ years and hate to sell it, but life dictates otherwise. I restored it with my father in high school and drove it around town for 2-3 years. College, marriage, children, mortgage, and other responsibilities resulted in the jeep sitting in the barn for 17 years. The engine and ancillary components have been partially disassembled. Tires are dry rotting. Master cylinder needs rebuilding. Transmission needs a new first gear. Other than a few minor issues, this Jeep is solid and rust free. It is a complete Jeep and the parts needing attention are all in great shape and can be re-built. Engine needs rebuilding. Head gasket was blown when it was parked.”

Either the heat melted the grille and the building, causing both to lean forward OR the photo is skewed (might be a photo of a photo).
“1946 Willy Jeep, burgundy, minor body work on one side. Runs great, just overhauled. Fun to drive. 3 speed. All manual and original functions. Minor upholstery cracks. Needs carpet or whatever buyer wants to put in. New bikini top, new tires. Rare lightening rod 4 wd shifters. This is perfect for the right investor.”

Has updated engine. That might be a Porter & Reed hardtop, but I am not certain.
