About eWillys
Welcome to eWillys.com, a website for vintage jeep enthusiasts. I update this website nearly every day with jeep deals, jeep history, interesting reader projects, jeep related info, and more.
These quick searches can help you find things on eBay. People list in the wrong categories all the time, so don't be surprised to see brochures in the parts area for example. This section used to be split into jeeps, parts and other categories, but recent changes to eBay will require this information to be recoded.
The links to posts below show jeeps grouped by models, condition, and other ways. Some of these jeeps are for sale and others have been sold. If you are unsure whether a vehicle is still for sale or not, email me at d [at] ewillys.com for more info.
Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. So, tread carefully when purchasing a "project". If you have any concerns about buying a vintage jeep, or run across a scam, feel free to contact me for help, comments or concerns .
“Willys 1947 cj2a I’d buy it if I could! Wife would shoot me! Came from New Mexico. A fellow I met lives south of here.. runs and drives does have a slight master cylinder leak. Comes with a new one Rebuilt motor runs like a top he claims haven’t heard it myself yet Sirius inquiries and I’ll give you his number He is asking $5600for Willis and $1250 for custom trailer.. seems a solid Willys”
“Very early civilian Willys . numbers all match. Nearly all original. 3 speed column shift. Brakes and fuel system where completely re done 2 years ago and it has basically sat since. I haven’t been able to make the time for it. Runs ok needs some electrical work. Body has rust in the usual spots. Comes with Arctic hard top, I also have the original split screen.”
Seller is moving and needs so sell them. The one pictures has a PTO winch.
“I actually have two1947 CJ2A willys Jeeps Both are disassembled ready for restoration Only have one engine and transmission for them I Can get more pictures if needed I’m trying to get $2000 for them No title I do have the Serial number plates for one of them The only reason I’m selling them is I’ll be moving within the year”
“1947 Willy’s Jeep in great condition. Original go devil 4cyl motor . Completely redone, 1933 miles since redone. Fiberglass body so no rust or anything hidden , metal windshield. New wheels , And Tires. I have the bikini top, soft top, and doors.”
“1946 CJ-2A $7,500 OBO
Every part has been rebuilt, remanufactured or is new on this CJ; everything is rust free. I haven’t driven it. It turns over, but the points have not been set. Wiring is period correct with heavy gauge cloth covered wires for the 6 volt system.
The jeep has an overdrive installed so highway speeds are attainable, but the PTO winch is disabled because of it. I do have the parts for the winch if you would like to re-install it.
The original axles, T case, 3 speed manual transmission and 134 CID flat head “Go Devil” engine have all been rebuilt out of state in Dassel, Minnesota at Northstar Willy’s. The radiator has been repaired and tested. I have all the parts for the oil bath air filter, but have installed a small K&N filter.
Gauges, coil mounted ignition key, vacuum wiper motor and special order heater are also new or rebuilt. I have the original bows and struts for the canvas top, but no canvas. Seats are re-upholstered, fuel tank is new and new floor matting is installed. Bias ply tires are new as well.
I have most of the receipts.
Project is 90% done with parts for most of the remaining work. I don’t have the time or interest to work on it anymore. I’m sure it will make someone happy, its a great looking, old school rig.”
