This section used to be split into jeeps, parts and other categories, but recent changes to eBay will require this information to be recoded.

Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. “1949 Jeep Willys CJ2A
4th owner of this jeep lived most of its life in SC
Body was restored in 2008 with new windshield frame and radiator core support.
Flat head 4 cyl.
Transmission rebuilt in 2008 along with new clutch.
Tub interior is rhino lined dark red.
Wood floor layed in tub.
Seats reupholstered
Updated to 12V system in 2009
Suspension was replaced in 2010
New radiator in 2015
It runs and drives but it is a jeep
I just don’t have time to drive it anymore and I need to pass the fun onto someone who does.”
UPDATE: Price back to $5800.
(05/23/2017) Has some mods.
“CJ2A Willys Jeep, this is a very nice, clean, rust free Willys, but it still needs some finishing touches before it’s drivable. 225 v6/ TH400 auto out of a 71 Commando, dana 30 front, custom made ford 9″ rear 3.50 ratio. New 2.5 lift, new 35″x15.50×15 super swampers, new American racing wheels. Needs to have entire brake system plumbed, needs fuel tank to be put back in along with some other minors things. I do not have a title, price is firm. I bought this years ago out of a barn where it sat for 40 years, its a great find with a lot of nice upgrades already done.”

There are two (or 1 1/2?) 2As, both projects.
“47 CJ2A project with parts of an extra tub for patch panels. Jeep is apart but is a rolling project on tires w/trans and axles still functioning. No title. Price is firm and selling as I need room for my other projects. Nice jeep project. Could be used to make a military jeep clone. I pulled it here behind my truck. Does not run but engine will turn over and is out of vehicle right now. Would like to move it out this week. Cash only.”

“1948 Willys CJ3A. Project for sale 231-v6 motor, clean title, new seat frames and seats from Kiaser still new in the box. new windshield glass and molding , paint for the jeep purchased from sherwin Williams automotive. 3 year project never finished from the person hired to finish it. owner wanting to sell it now. get this now finish it and have it ready to roll by spring”
