About eWillys
Welcome to eWillys.com, a website for vintage jeep enthusiasts. I update this website nearly every day with jeep deals, jeep history, interesting reader projects, jeep related info, and more.
These quick searches can help you find things on eBay. People list in the wrong categories all the time, so don't be surprised to see brochures in the parts area for example. This section used to be split into jeeps, parts and other categories, but recent changes to eBay will require this information to be recoded.
The links to posts below show jeeps grouped by models, condition, and other ways. Some of these jeeps are for sale and others have been sold. If you are unsure whether a vehicle is still for sale or not, email me at d [at] ewillys.com for more info.
Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. So, tread carefully when purchasing a "project". If you have any concerns about buying a vintage jeep, or run across a scam, feel free to contact me for help, comments or concerns .
“So this is a 1948 CJ3A, titled as such with only two parts on it that are original. Everything else is from a samurai. Basically it’s a fiberglass jeep body, bolted onto a 1994 samurai frame with all samurai running gear. It was built to be ultra light, with the bench mark of below 1800 lbs which meets the legal requirements for a side by side (class IV UTV) to go on side by side only delegated trails. It’s also a fully insured street legal registered 48 cj3a (no DEQ to meet). The fiberglass body is also made to be 8” longer than a stock CJ3A has to accommodate taller drivers. Why a samurai? Everything on a samurai is built to be lightweight. The engine is fuel injected, aluminum block and heads, fully dressed weights 175 lbs…….. If you think bolting a chevy 350 inside a CJ2A is a good idea this rig probably isn’t for you. If you recognize the biggest advantage you can have off road is lightweight, we should talk. It takes the idea of “go anywhere” to a whole new level. Continue reading →
It looks clean, though not restored quite to original.
“I’m selling my beautiful 1948 CJ2A. Restored to original condition. I drive it around town, but want to clear the room for another restoration. The engine, transmission, body and suspension all original. I have the bows for the top but never installed it. It has been converted to 12 volt. Runs great!”

Low miles.Sounds real good.has a lot of power for an old Jeep. Asking 10,000 obo as is. May be willing to sell without the motor for less.”
(11/08/2017) T.J. spotted this one on Facebook. The half top with suicide doors sure is unusual. I don’t recognize the top, but it looks pretty well built.
“1947 Willys Jeep, Rusty, missing some pieces, good clear title and ID tags,”
“1948 Willys CJ2A Orange body with a Blue roll cage.
*CLEAN-Fairly fresh paint job, Jeep Cherokee front bucket seats with covers, Renegade back bench seat. Fuel cell mounted under rear seat ahd a full roll cage.
*Rebuilt Buick/Jeep 225 V6 short block, Offenhauser 360 intake with a Motorcraft 2100 2bbl carb, and fenderwell headers and ACCEL Super Coil.
*T14 tranny with modified T-case. I used Spicer 20 case (to bolt to the T14) and put Spicer 18 gears to keep the 2.46 gear ratio and offset for the rear end.
*Original Dana 25 front and 41 rear with 5.38 gears.
I just don’t have the time to finish this project. Too many other irons in the fire. Very – Very little left to make this a great trail rider or street vehicle. (NO Title)
**CASH only.”
