Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. “Selling the Jeep that I don’t use any more. I bought it as a project, rebuilt it, and now with the lack of time I have decided to sell it. Many new parts which include brakes from master cylinder all the way to the calipers, body panels, multiple drive train parts. It runs well, the oil pressure is low but still within the standards set in the Jeep manual. If I was to keep it, I would pull the original 4 cylinder and have it rebuilt. All new wiring, lights, reupholstered seats, bed liner sprayed in, sandblasted rolling chassis and professionally painted body.”

Has an early engine. Seller lists this as a 1945, but it’s more likely a 1947 or later.

(09/19/2017) Seller will sell all three for $4500. Seller mistakenly labels the CJ-5s ad CJ-3Bs.
“For sale here are three Willy’s Jeeps. These were inherited from my grandfather, then from my father. My grandfather had partially restored the 47 and 57, but they were nowhere near complete when he passed. The work he did on them is almost 20 years old at this point. He was also the world’s worst about titles. I have titles from the previous owner, before my grandfather, for the 47 CJ-2A, and the 57 CJ-3B. The 53 CJ-3B has no title. All will be sold as-is, with a bill of sale. Outdated copies of titles go with the two that have them. I would like to sell all three as a package, but am willing to part with each one individually. $4,500 if sold as a hat trick. Price is somewhat negotiable, but don’t bother lowballing. Details for each are below.
1947 Willy’s CJ-2A: The most well taken care of, of the three, with all parts intact except the seats and windshield glass. Was about 60% restored when my grandfather set it aside. No through-rust or other major rust that I am aware of. Frame is solid, body tub and fenders are solid, engine and driveline are intact and original, suspension is also intact. I was told it needs a complete wiring harness and a lot of TLC to be able to turn the key and have it start. Asking price is $1,500.00.

1946 Willys CJ -2a, runs and drives, new tires, was registered and inspected for 2016 and driven around town. 3 speed w/ 4wd hi lo. Fiberglass tub, original nose and fenders. Runs very well. Good shape overall. Not perfect, but a fun old jeep that runs, drives and will turn some heads. Extra parts included.“
