About eWillys
Welcome to eWillys.com, a website for vintage jeep enthusiasts. I update this website nearly every day with jeep deals, jeep history, interesting reader projects, jeep related info, and more.
These quick searches can help you find things on eBay. People list in the wrong categories all the time, so don't be surprised to see brochures in the parts area for example. This section used to be split into jeeps, parts and other categories, but recent changes to eBay will require this information to be recoded.
The links to posts below show jeeps grouped by models, condition, and other ways. Some of these jeeps are for sale and others have been sold. If you are unsure whether a vehicle is still for sale or not, email me at d [at] ewillys.com for more info.
Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. So, tread carefully when purchasing a "project". If you have any concerns about buying a vintage jeep, or run across a scam, feel free to contact me for help, comments or concerns .
“It’s in decent shape for it’s age, Complete roller no motor or transmission. Has a an aluminum hardtop with steel doors, windows roll up and down. Make a nice restore or rock crawler.”
“Selling my 1947 cj2a project.
I was planing on just making this cj2a into a good running for logging road fun but plans changed.
the cj2a is complete and i believe has the original drive train to it.
the engine was seized.
the body has some rust in the floors.
I got a second cj3a frame that was in better shape and was dissembling the cj2a and installing parts onto the cj3a as the 3a was being fixed from the frame up.
frame is painted with new shocks / springs and bushings.
engine runs good trans shifts fine.
hi torque 12v starter.
12v alternator.
needs brake lines installed.
body needs patch panels in floor.
everything is there to make a running CJ i just don’t have the time and now need to repair my daily driver.”
(07/01/2016) Looks solid, but not restored to specs. Appears to have diamond plate on the cargo bed.
“1949 Jeep Willys –
Lovingly restored over a couple year period. Never left the 94010 after the restoration. Used to commute two miles to work, a couple days per week.
Fires right up, runs great, easy to drive.
Feel free to email or text with questions.”
(06/26/2016) Looks like it has the hybric M-38/MB replacement body.
“This is a 1946 Jeep Willy re-built from frame up. Has been garaged since it was built in 1995. All parts are original and have photos depicting every detail as it was built.”
“I have a 1948 Willy’s CJ2A for sale. It is all original engine, trans and body. Has had recent paint job, not perfect, but looks good. Tires are 70%. Runs and drives great, fun little off roader! I have too many other toys and need to clear some space for winter. Shows 43XX miles. Odometer works, but speed needle is broke off. Comes with some documentation.”
“Beautiful 1948 Willys Cj2a. The body (repro with 3a windshield) is super straight with ZERO dents and ZERO rust. I can say, “Excellent” condition. The old paint was sanded down; all the nicks and scratches were filled and sanded. The body was then primed and professionally painted. The color is Desert Tan 686 C.A.R.C. substitute. The floor is black bed lined. It has the original L-Head 134 “Go Devil” motor (runs great and quiet), Dana 25 front axle, Dana 41 rear axle, with 5.38 gears. T90 3 speed transmission and Dana 18 transfer case with Warn overdrive. Roll bar and seat belts installed. Brand new 12 volt conversion. All wiring cleaned up. All the lights, blinkers and gauges work. Glass is perfect. Seat covers are heavy canvas. Vehicle has been stored inside. Front hubs were added for better fuel mileage. There is also a white vinyl top in good condition (needs two new windows though). Registered and titled (clear) in Oregon. Has VIN #.
“I have a 1948 willies with no more have two motors that are blown one needs new heads and the other has freshly milled heads just haven’t swapped them I’m looking to trade for something running and that can hopefully be a play toy”
“Looking to sell my 1947 CJ2A, it’s been restored at some point and they did a nice job, body is straight and clean, rust free, it runs great, I’m sure it was rebuilt at some point, has a couple little oil leaks, not bad just marks its territory, kinda like a O’l Harley, tranny slips out of second when you take your foot of the gas, I have a deluxe rebuild kit for it, all lights work, paint is great and stops good, speedo and fuel gauge not working but all gauges are new just haven’t traced the problem out, won’t go but 55 so haven’t worried bout it, it has a 3A windshield on it I’m pretty sure, I put new leaf springs all way round it, it’s a good driver and ready to go, sure I left a lot out so come see it and take a spin, for way less than the price of a Polaris ranger and you can drive to church in it”
“Recent engine and transmission rebuild. No modification, completely stock. To many items to feature or list, needs to be seen. Also includes new top not show.”
