About eWillys
Welcome to eWillys.com, a website for vintage jeep enthusiasts. I update this website nearly every day with jeep deals, jeep history, interesting reader projects, jeep related info, and more.
These quick searches can help you find things on eBay. People list in the wrong categories all the time, so don't be surprised to see brochures in the parts area for example. This section used to be split into jeeps, parts and other categories, but recent changes to eBay will require this information to be recoded.
The links to posts below show jeeps grouped by models, condition, and other ways. Some of these jeeps are for sale and others have been sold. If you are unsure whether a vehicle is still for sale or not, email me at d [at] ewillys.com for more info.
Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. So, tread carefully when purchasing a "project". If you have any concerns about buying a vintage jeep, or run across a scam, feel free to contact me for help, comments or concerns .
“1948 CJ3A Jeep, V6, 4wd with lots of large accessory parts. And two upholstered seats.
Also comes with another Jeep:
1946 CS2A frame roller.
These are both project Jeeps.
I’m asking $3500 for both. One runs and one starts but is a project.”
“1948 jeep willys, runs and drives beautifully, 4X4 works perfectly. Has had tons of work done, just needs someone to finish it off (or leave the great old patina and enjoy it). Comes with 6 stock wheels that need new tires mounted on.”
Seller dropped this ’48 body onto a Suzuki Samurai. The battery must be in the box behind the front bumper.
“I have a 1948 willys body stretched to fit on a 88 Suzuki samurai. 4 cyl 5 speed 4×4 with 143,000 miles. Was lifted about 5 inches. Brand new wheels and tires and paint, it is a rough texture bed liner paint. It needs some work here and there to be finished right but can drive. I put over 4K miles on it last year”
I was wondering about the rim choice, but those were rim’s the restorer’s father had for decades. Seller has other rims as well.
“1946 cj2a Willy. This has been a 5 year project. I have over 150 photos of rebuild (frame off). All has been put back to original. Pasture green tan interior, military tires in great shape. My dad has been holding onto these Ford 1935 wire wheels for 40+ years. and I do have a spare once I find a worthy tire. I have original white top and frame along with doors. I have original rims as well (chrome ). To many parts and things have been done to list here. 4×4 works great. I drive it every chance I get… Weekends mostly. She runs great but don’t get in a hurry… She was suppose to be a daily driver to work since I live so close. Took to long on rebuild now need to move onto other projects. I will be happy to text you any additional photos that you want. I do work full time so please make contact after 6 Monday thru Friday. Any time Sat and Sunday.”
(02/09/2017) Just how many of these custom hardtop flatties are there?
“Willys CJ2 like you have never seen before. Has mid 1940s Chevy cab grafted by a coachworks company to a CJ frame. 4 wheel drive 3 speed manual. This has just been gone through mechanically and has been painted OD Green bedliner after being taken down to bare metal. 31″ tires. A fun vehicle for hunters or campers. Can tow behind vehicle.”
“Great offload project. Runs and drives great. Has a GM v6 with an automatic Chrysler tranny. Disc brakes in front, drums in rear. Power steering and several other custom features. Has a few leaks and still needs a front drive shaft made. I’ve had my fun with it but now I need the space.”
