Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. (11/26/2016) Has an incorrect grille. Drain holes are filled. Other minor changes.
“Older restoration, good body and interior. Cranks and runs great, just replaced engine. Over $10,000.00 invested including initial buy. The seats are not original but were used to accommodate a bigger driver, (I’m 6′ 2” and 300 pounds) but I have the original seats and some spare parts. The complete electrical system was replaced by Claxton Auto Electric four years ago and it is converted from 6 to 12 volt system. Jeep has 82nd Airborne paint scheme and Michelin road tires versus the old military “knobbie” tires for a better ride on the highway. I have only put 1,000 miles on it, using it for local parades, etc. Four wheel drive works perfectly but has only been used on highway the seven plus years I have owned it. Only serious buyers need to respond, I’m very close on my price; cash only…..no trades.”
