Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. (09/13/2016) Looks solid.
“1946 Willys CJ2A. Lovingly improved to stock. New fuel system (tank, pump, steel lines), new suspension system, new steering gear, new exhaust, new paint (period correct Harvest Tan), new period correct seats and upholstery. It has working turn signals and converted to 12 volt. Starts and runs well. It’s ready for those Fall runs to the ice cream shop or the baseball field. There is no better way to run around town. Clear title in hand.”
Has a variety of early parts.
“This was the 1117th cj made after WWII. As far as I know it is original motor. When I bought it had just been mechanically restored by a company called Northstar Willys. He found the 38th one and decided to sell this one. I had some body work done but tried to keep as much original as possible. I did however change to a 12volt system. The Jeep runs good and as you can see in one of the photos it looks like the water pump just started leaking other than that no real issues. I used the jeep very little… just as a my mule to haul tools for small projects around where I live. Unsure of actual mileage.”

“1948 Willys Jeep, 4 cylinder, 12 volt, runs good, needs some carb adjustment, good tires. No spare tire and no top.
Comes with original pto winch and tow bumper. I have a complete 6 cylinder motor that I had planned to replace the 4 cylinder with.”
