Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. (10/26/2016) “Runs drives and stops great. Has the odd fire 225 V6 with original 3 speed. Warn overdrive. Warn 8k lb winch. Upgraded Saginaw steering gear. Drives like a modern jeep. It has plenty of power and is capable of highway speeds with the overdrive. I have a heavy duty swing out spare tire rack for the back with a matching spare. I also have the tow bar setup for the front. Clean Ky title in my name.”

(10/09/2016) It looks like it was a good restoration.
“I’m selling my restored 1946 Willys Jeep CJ-2A. The only reason I’m selling is to fund another purchase. It has had a frame off restoration back around 2006. This is a early production, matching numbers jeep, more desired by collectors. It even has the original serial numbered engine. Every last part was gone through and refurbished or replaced. It has been restored as original as possible down to the original body and wheel colors, 6 volt electrical system, and cloth covered wiring. The body was just repainted very recently. It has a show quality finish. Not even a scratch.
I have only put 4000 miles on the jeep since the restoration. It runs great and I wouldn’t be afraid to drive it anywhere.
I’m tired of people trying to scam me. I will not respond to text messages or email until you call and I know you are a real person. I do not have voice mail, but I will return your call if I miss it.”

Needs some work, but runs. The rear floor has been replaced.
“Good original antique 48 Willy’s Jeep CJ 2. Original 4 cylinder standard transmission and working 4wd. This is solid old jeep that shows 14359 miles and not a rust bucket like most this year. Comes with title and brand new water pump. Far from perfect but would make a great toy or restoration project. Tires and seats need replacing. Did not come with top. $3700 cash in person only. Really prefer cash, but may trade for trailers or equipment, but no toys.”
