About eWillys
Welcome to eWillys.com, a website for vintage jeep enthusiasts. I update this website nearly every day with jeep deals, jeep history, interesting reader projects, jeep related info, and more.
These quick searches can help you find things on eBay. People list in the wrong categories all the time, so don't be surprised to see brochures in the parts area for example. This section used to be split into jeeps, parts and other categories, but recent changes to eBay will require this information to be recoded.
The links to posts below show jeeps grouped by models, condition, and other ways. Some of these jeeps are for sale and others have been sold. If you are unsure whether a vehicle is still for sale or not, email me at d [at] ewillys.com for more info.
Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. So, tread carefully when purchasing a "project". If you have any concerns about buying a vintage jeep, or run across a scam, feel free to contact me for help, comments or concerns .
“Bought this Willys over the summer and have used it as a weekend cruiser. Great little truck, engine and transmission are strong, small leak from front Diff and radiator.
Apart from those two problems it starts every time and hasn’t let me down yet. The front seats are perfect, new gas tank, and there is a back seat though it needs to be re-covered. If you are looking for a quick response send me a text, I also check email regularly.
Now is a great chance to own a piece of American history, at a very fair price for a nearly no rust, great running, driver quality Willys Jeep.’
Engine is seized, but it looks good otherwise. It’s been in storage since 1982. It’s listed as a 1949. Is that a stainless or brushed aluminum windshield frame?
“49 willys Engine is seized up 2300 OBO, By Owner. I am the 2ed owner had it from late 1970s,I have top and large wheels and tires. It was a lot of fun needs some work now as I have not worked on it for years it has been inside storage from 1982”
“I have a 1948 Willys CJ2A That I have had for over 20 years,
I have used it mostly to plow my driveway and take the top off in the summer for some joints.
it has the flat head 4 and runs great, lock out hubs and a 2 way plow electric/hydraulic with another 4 plow that will go with it. It has a fiberglass body and fenders. Original windshield and hood stamped WILLYS.
Runs good has 11″ brakes and original seats With some paint could be a daily driver”
“Willys 2a for repair or restoration. Engine is Missing..
Body needs repairs in front floors, overall is still solid base for rebuild..
$600 Need it gone soon”
“1944 Jeep Willys CJ2A/MB/GPW
I have owned this jeep for 8 years and it has been a great project. Tub/Body is an early example CJ2a with tool indents. I got this jeep in to running condition and fixed it up to be a Parade and around town runner. Engine is a L134 “Go Devil” 4cyl with 3 speed T-90 floor shifter. The Jeep is mostly complete, but not a show piece. It has unfortunately sat for the last 4 years not getting used. Although it did run when parked it will need to be gone through again to get it into running condition.
It comes with some rarer jeep parts including some stamped F(ford) parts, 3 solid disk(non- slotted) rims, and the early CJ2A tub with tool indents.
This Jeep will also have a clear Titled in my name for a 1944 Ford GPW, I licensed and insured the jeep as such, in the time that I’ve owned it. The Jeep has the accompanying data plate matching the title. I ran the appropriate serial number searches, with the state when I bought it, verifying no outstanding history. Getting this Jeep licensed and insured will not be an issue.
It has been a fun toy, that always grabs attention, but it’s time to move it on to someone who can invest time into it. ”
“1947 Willys cj2a needs some work to get going but would be a good project motor is loose was a barn find has been parked in barn since 1981 could use a new tub, breaks, etc has the go devil motor have too many other projects at the moment”
