Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. Chevy 283, T-90 transmission with Warn overdrive, Dana 18 TC, tilt & power steering, Dana 30 front, Dana 44 rear, 4.27 gears, full cage, tuffy center lockable console, rear seat, HEI distributor, 33×12.5 Wildcat MT. “Up for sale is a 1949 Willys CJ3A. I do not have a title for the truck. The truck was the start of a frame off restoration that was never completed. The body needs work replacing floor sections. I have a lot of spare parts for the truck. I haver a perfect windshield frame with glass, vacuum wiper assemblies, seats and frames, fuel tank, plow frame and pump, etc. If interested please contact me with any questions. I also have the front half of a CJ2A with the Vin tag, the motor and trans with a bunch of parts on it. I would like to sell the package together for $750 obo.”

(08/19/2015) Seems to have a 4WD problem.
“This is a 48 with a F Head Motor Swap.
Motor is strong
Body is straight and Rot Free..small amounts of rust under the tail lights.
Frame is clean
New Suspension
New Rear Seat and belts
Flat Primer Gray
Had some trouble with 4wd last time I tried…but it was really cold, not sure if that had something to do with it.
