Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. “Selling a project of mine. It’s a 1947 CJ2A Willys Jeep. The body and frame are pretty rough. Transmission and transfer case are not installed. Transfer case looks good but transmission needs to be rebuilt. The engine has been converted to a 4cyl Ford Pinto and has the adapter plate. Engine cranks over and everything works however wouldn’t start. Probably wouldn’t take much effort to get her started though. Oil and filter are fresh. New coil (has been converted to 12V). New starter motor.
Would be good as a parts vehicle or a project.
I do not have the title for it. ”

Jay spotted this one. It’s listed as a 1949. It’s missing the column shift and the early windshield, so this might be a mix of parts.

(02/28/2014) Lots of updates, including a fiberglass body.
“I’ve had this for a few years and I’ve had a lot of fun driving it! it a 1949 chassis and a fiberglass body.
its a great little rat rod if you like getting attention at car show or just driving around town.
the motor has a noise a valve maybe. I have driven it like that since I have had it. the seats are original jeep seats. last time I drove it to a local car show and parked close there was more people around it than any vehicle and kids love it!
PS As you can see I bend the water can, but it didn’t hurt anything else, it has three bolts holding it on. If I don’t sell it I’m going to order the original can holder and a new can that works, for around 75 dollars, thanks for looking!”
Needs brakes and new clutch.
