Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. Hasn’t been driven in a while, but will start with gas in carb.

“’47 Willys CJ2A. Ran and drove 6 years ago. Went down highway fine. We used to drive it around town. It has been sitting for 6 years. Needs electric fuel pump and gas tank was icky. I half assed flushed it. Will start/run with gas in carb. engine is a Ford Pinto engine. Ran prefect when we drove it. Not all original as you can see. I don’t know the extent of it. Clear title. Located in Isle. May consider partial trade. Polaris snowmobile, dune buggy etc. Trail mower.”

“I have a two 1940s CJ2A Willys Jeeps parts vehicles for sale. I used these to help restore my 1948 CJ2A. There are still some bits left on them that someone may be able to use. One is just a frame and the other has the tub although the tub is in pretty rough shape. You will need a trailer and a winch to get these out.
Asking $500 for both or your best offer”

“This Jeep starts, runs and drives. Fiberglass body tub and fenders. Windshield, hood and grill are OE. 12v conversion. Minimal frame rust and no apparent cracks. New fuel tank. Brand new full manual set. Hand brake doesn’t work. Needs tires and shocks. Oil seeping in several places from the drive train. When I purchased this Jeep, I was told the brakes and the clutch had been replaced. I have not verified that, but the brake lines have been replaced and the backing plates are solid. The clutch does not slip or chatter. The roll bar is only for appearance.”

“I’m looking to sell my 1947 stretched CJ2A this was stretched by a dealership back in the day. I bought this off a ranch in Michigan where it’s been since new. This Jeeps runs and drives I just replaced the brakes on this Jeep. Looking to get 7000 located in vermilion Ohio”

1946 Willys Jeep CJ-2A Clean Title, owned for about 10 years. Mainly storage kept but less than 500 miles since putting the motor in. 3 speed with overdrive V6 rebuilt motor that came out of a 1979 Buick Skylark. Clutch replaced with motor. Dana 18 transfer case and T90 Transmission Just rebuilt the radiator New alternator just installed as well. All 4 Tires have great tread including spare. Brand new We do have the back seat and front. Also have a set of chains for two tires.”
My takeaway on this one is, it’s the first I’ve heard of the town of Hasty, Colorado.

“1940s Jeep Cj. No title. Bill of sale only. It is rough but it can be saved. Would make a great ratrod. No engine but trans and t case are still there. There is a very easy, legit, and fully legal way to obtain title for this jeep. If you’re interested, I’ll gladly tell you how.
A brief rundown about this jeep:
It sat in a while in a field at the original owner’s property. I don’t know exactly how long. I was told it was in a shed.
It was VERY not running when I got it.
There was very clearly some work work/maintenance done to it however..
What I have done over the past 2 years:
I was going to make this into a plow vehicle, but have decided to stick with my atv.
