“I am looking to trade my 1946 Willys CJ2A. I have owned it for the past 6 months with the intention of restoring it. The person I purchased it from owned it for the last 35 years and it was stored inside. It had a partial restoration at some point during those 35 years.
The motor runs well and has great oil pressure. The transmission in it was bad and I have since replaced it with a transmission/transfer case from another jeep. It has a new gasket and seal kit and the gears of both looked very good. I also replaced the TO bearing while I had it apart. The clutch and pressure plate looked good. The trans is 90% hooked up. It needs the e brake and drive shafts hooked up.
UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $1200.
Based on the other pics, it looks like this is pretty complete. Could be a VEC.
“1946 Willys CJ2A Jeep. Complete. Great project. Clean Texas title. Engine runs. Comes with new floorboards and braces. Catalogs, manuals and spare parts included”

“1946 willys jeep has the overhead cam 1950 willys jeep engine manual trans. Runs and drives but currently has a leak in the gas tank. Can purchase a new one for under 200.00. UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $2200.
(02/24/2016) Looks to be a mix of VEC and non VEC parts. The windshield and tranny are incorrect at the very least. Seems to have the correct rear hubs.
“The CJ-2A was the very first model of the civilian Jeeps. 1945 was the first year of production and this is one of those bearing serial number 11086. It is in need of restoration but the vehicle is all there, engine, transmission, all running gear, very good shape for age. The first of the are tagged as “Very Early Civilian” or VEC, which this is one of. Original color was green which is one of the two colors available in 1945. Call with questions.”
UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $3500.
