Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. “This is a great project rig . First off this Jeep does not run and drive! Will need to be trailered away or use the tow bar. Has a Buick V6 that needs to be replaced. The short block it still in the rig. Comes with Edelbrock Performer intake manifold, Edelbrock 4bbl carb,Edelbrock valve covers,HEI distributer,Stainless headers,Aftermarket aluminum radiator and motor accessories . Manual transmission . The Jeep has been lifted and sits on 35inch BFG’s w/ aluminum rims. Has nice Pro car front bucket seats and back seat . Was a running and driving rig 3yrs ago until it had engine failure . Great project !”

(11/27/2015) Plenty of rust. Doesn’t shift into reverse.
“Running original Jeep Cj2a with clean title.
This has the rare factory optional bed extender.
We rebuilt the carb and started right up after 15 years of sitting in a barn.
It ran and drove but last time i started it in did not want to go into reverse. This has the column shifter so i suspect the issue is in the linkage.
I bought this to restore but no longer have the facility to do the restoration.
Would really love to see this go to a good home .
This is a rare Jeep that is still pretty solid. Worst rust is on the passenger side back corner.
Frame has surface rust but is also solid.

“Serious offers only! Looking to rehome antique 1947 Willy’s CJ2A. It was converted to 12V and has been started in past few months but not currently running. Includes Clean title,Warn winch, Link-Arc welder/generator. Spare parts include extra motor, hoods, fenders, and wheels. Would prefer someone who will keep original.”

It’s rough, but runs.
“I have owned this for 10 yrs. it has been garaged. Convereted to 12 volt. I rebuilt the engine. Bored,new pistons,rings,rod and main bearings, new water pump, new fuel pump. Cut valve seats and ground valves, lapped each valve. Rebuilt original carburetor, new one wire alternator. Replaced 2nd gear and installed bearing kit in transmission. Glass beaded wheels, new non directional tires. I fabricated back seat from a bus. Rewired with new headlight switch. Recently replaced bellcrank,front brakes,wheel cylinders,king pin bearings,all rubber brake lines, “S” metal brake lines. Speedometer doesn’t work. Stick got caught on cable and broke it. I have used it to go to the river in the summer time. Goes good , stops good. Body is typical of these old Jeeps. Rough. I have not done any repairs to it.Call or text . No trades. No scammers. “1947 Willys jeep for sale in South Dakota. Original motor that runs good. Can be driven but need some work yet. It is a good start for some one wanting to restore a Jeep. Tires are not good, but I have tubes in them so they hold air. I have some extra parts that go with it. I have a clear title for it. There is no top for it. The best way to contact me is text. I do not have to sell it so Don’t waste my time with a low ball offer. Some trades like a old Chevy pickup or car may be considered, would have to be something I like a lot. Note bring a trailer and take it home, but you can not drive it there, not road worthy yet.”
