About eWillys
Welcome to eWillys.com, a website for vintage jeep enthusiasts. I update this website nearly every day with jeep deals, jeep history, interesting reader projects, jeep related info, and more.
These quick searches can help you find things on eBay. People list in the wrong categories all the time, so don't be surprised to see brochures in the parts area for example. This section used to be split into jeeps, parts and other categories, but recent changes to eBay will require this information to be recoded.
The links to posts below show jeeps grouped by models, condition, and other ways. Some of these jeeps are for sale and others have been sold. If you are unsure whether a vehicle is still for sale or not, email me at d [at] ewillys.com for more info.
Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. So, tread carefully when purchasing a "project". If you have any concerns about buying a vintage jeep, or run across a scam, feel free to contact me for help, comments or concerns .
Based on the other pics, it looks like this is pretty complete. Could be a VEC.
“1946 Willys CJ2A Jeep. Complete. Great project. Clean Texas title. Engine runs. Comes with new floorboards and braces. Catalogs, manuals and spare parts included”
“1946 willys jeep has the overhead cam 1950 willys jeep engine manual trans. Runs and drives but currently has a leak in the gas tank. Can purchase a new one for under 200.00. These are very rare. frame is solid some body rust but not horrible for a 46. Almost brand new 30x9x15 tires. Call with questions or offers.”
(02/24/2016) Looks to be a mix of VEC and non VEC parts. The windshield and tranny are incorrect at the very least. Seems to have the correct rear hubs.
“The CJ-2A was the very first model of the civilian Jeeps. 1945 was the first year of production and this is one of those bearing serial number 11086. It is in need of restoration but the vehicle is all there, engine, transmission, all running gear, very good shape for age. The first of the are tagged as “Very Early Civilian” or VEC, which this is one of. Original color was green which is one of the two colors available in 1945. Call with questions.”
“1947 willys jeep runs you will not see one of these again. 3500 cash or 4500 in trade. Will trade for boat, or full size car. Motorcycle ( no crotch rockets).”
“I have a 1949 Willys Flat Fender Jeep CJ3A for sale. This is a very solid jeep ready for restoration. Runs and drives well, and can be used as is. This one has the high and low range with 4 wheel drive, all of which works perfectly. Brakes are good, and steering is tight. Has a fabricated front bumper/brush guard and towing hitch. Sold with bill of sale only; Georgia does not title vehicles this old.”
“Complete with original running gear, steel top and doors, 12 volt converted, pto winch, Stainless steel under the seat fuel tank, 67′ mustang pony seats, rust holes in usual spots but all there and stored in my dads shed for ever. ran great always had anti freeze in good radiator. He started to upgrade to larger brakes and install power steering system that is complete and included. I am available to show with appointment.”
Looks like there may be value. The body is supposed to be okay to poor.
“I have a 1948 willys cj2a for sale. Eng. Runs good, drive line is good, frame is good, body is fair to poor. Jeep will nd brakes, and finishing, not drivable no title. ”
“I will hate to see her go but I am selling my 1948 Willys CJ2A. This Willys is mostly restored and includes a rebuilt motor, new seats, resurfaced flywheel, new brakes & more. Everything works on this old Jeep. She fires right up even when its cold outside. Still original 6 volt. Has oil bath air filter, etc. I have a new window seal on its way so that will go in as well. Message me and I can share some videos of it starting up and driving as well. ”
