About eWillys
Welcome to eWillys.com, a website for vintage jeep enthusiasts. I update this website nearly every day with jeep deals, jeep history, interesting reader projects, jeep related info, and more.
These quick searches can help you find things on eBay. People list in the wrong categories all the time, so don't be surprised to see brochures in the parts area for example. This section used to be split into jeeps, parts and other categories, but recent changes to eBay will require this information to be recoded.
The links to posts below show jeeps grouped by models, condition, and other ways. Some of these jeeps are for sale and others have been sold. If you are unsure whether a vehicle is still for sale or not, email me at d [at] ewillys.com for more info.
Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. So, tread carefully when purchasing a "project". If you have any concerns about buying a vintage jeep, or run across a scam, feel free to contact me for help, comments or concerns .
“Custom built tub new parts include tires tubes radiator complete brake system alternator wiring high torque starter carburetor tuneup front leaf springs runs and like a cj-2a”
“Original 4 cylinder engine, tranny, transfer case and axles. Has a winch, tire and fuel rack and all 3 seats. Top and doors are in good condition and the heater will sweat you out. Runs great for a 1948. Rebuilt carb, new distributor and coil, new radiator, electric fan and electronic fuel pump. Mileage is an unknown This Jeep has manual steering and no lift, about as stock as you can find one nowadays. Has numerous spare parts and a towbar. Have too many kids and can’t fit all of us to go play outdoors”
Listen as a 1946, this looks more like a CJ-3B. However, if you look closely under the midsection of the first photo, it appears the transmission crossmember is slightly visible. I think you only would see that if it were a 2A setup. So, my guess is this is a 3B body on a 2A chassis. Also note that it lacks front frame rails, but there has been some work of some kind on them as well.
“1946 Willys Jeep. Great condition for the year. Just had the fluids and fuel lines changed. Starts and runs, but does need a little more tuning up! Message if interested. Asking $6800 Located in Lovell, WY”
“V6 removable enclosed cab ,bead lock wheels on 35s 4 wheels like nobody’s businesses love this Jeep wish I could keep it to many vehicles not enough time own a piece of history. ”
“Selling my 1948 Willys CJ2A, or would consider a trade for a Rolex Submariner. 12 bolt conversion done. Have clear title. Runs and drives amazing. Body is average, but then again, when you’re 75 years old….. Recently spent over $6k on making sure she runs good and stops good. Didn’t spend the time to make sure a “larger” guy like myself could fit in her and go off-roading. (It’s tough for a fat guy to drive a rig when neither the seat nor the steering wheel move)”
Bill shared this 1949 jeep that’s listed as a 2A, but appears to be a 3A. It includes a rear PTO and gearbox plus a Kelly 23-series hardtop. Note that at the bottom of the eBay ad the seller has included 5 different videos.
