About eWillys
Welcome to eWillys.com, a website for vintage jeep enthusiasts. I update this website nearly every day with jeep deals, jeep history, interesting reader projects, jeep related info, and more.
These quick searches can help you find things on eBay. People list in the wrong categories all the time, so don't be surprised to see brochures in the parts area for example. This section used to be split into jeeps, parts and other categories, but recent changes to eBay will require this information to be recoded.
The links to posts below show jeeps grouped by models, condition, and other ways. Some of these jeeps are for sale and others have been sold. If you are unsure whether a vehicle is still for sale or not, email me at d [at] ewillys.com for more info.
Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. So, tread carefully when purchasing a "project". If you have any concerns about buying a vintage jeep, or run across a scam, feel free to contact me for help, comments or concerns .
“1948 WILL’S CJ2A, NEW STEEL TUB, BRAKES, ENGINE, CLUTCH. LESS THAN 100 MILES SINCE REBUILD. THIS WAS THE ULTIMATE BARN FIND. CLEAN IDAHO TITLE IN HAND. THE 4 WHEEL DRIVE WORKS AS WELL AS THE HI/LO RANGE. STILL NEEDS A LITTLE TINKERING.”
“I have a 1947 Willys CJ3A that would be a great summer project to rebuild. Transmission is in working order and engine has no cracks and needs to be rebuilt. Body also needs new tub and the frame is in perfect shape. Original seats included. Asking $4,000.00 or best offer.”
(05/05/2014) Doesn’t run. Listed as a 1950, but it looks like a 2A to me.
“This jeep can be used for parts or restored. Missing a few things, but 85-90% there. Engine does not run. Small rust holes here and there, not serious. All running gear complete, rolls so it is towable.odometer shows 70k”
“For sale is a 1947 Jeep Willys CJ2A. Come with Ford Pinto engine, will runs but need works, Twin sticks transfer case with Warn Overdrive, body in good shape, clean title with non-op status.”
“1947 Willy’s Jeep CJ-2A. Good title in hand. Has new brakes, brake lines and fittings and wheel cylinders. I have new tires in garage. New fuel gauge, new windshield rubber, factory heater that works, new windshield wipers with motors. 12 volt system. 4×4 3peed. Asking $4000.00 that is the cost I have in it. Price is negotiable but I won’t give it away. It runs great, just needs tlc and I don’t have the time.”
I believe we have seen this one previously, but I can’t seem to find the post. The can on the hood is pretty memorable.
“1947 Willys Jeep CJ2A. It has an F-134 “Hurricane” 4 cyl engine. Runs good, but the engine smokes a bit. Brakes are good I have driven on the road. New front brake lines, new headlights, new battery, new front wheel bearings, gas tank was boiled out and repainted. Transmission was completely rebuilt in September. Tires are like new condition. 4WD works fine. The horn, siren, strobe, and backup light all work. Body and floor pans are very solid. The speedometer does not work, but there is a new speedometer gear in tranny and new speedometer cable. Converted to a 12V system. Items included but not pictured are two ammo boxes, fire extinguisher, spotlight, extra carb, emergency brake handle, tow bar, brake cable, paint. This jeep definitely turns heads.”

“1948 Willis flat fender jeep. This jeep is week built with 1993 throttle body injected 4.3 Chevy v6 and 4 speed transmission. Runs great, just tuned up, has headers, electric fan, Wilwood brake, clutch, and gas pedals, along with wildwood master cylinder and hydraulic clutch cylinder, Flaming River tilt steering column, low back factory style seats in great shape with 4 point harnesses, New best top and doors (no rips) later model front axel out of CJ 5, new brakes, tilt out front windshield, no rust, new springs with graspable shackles, black bed liner on engine compartment and tub, red bedliner on body, well built jeep, 4 wheel drive works great, clear title, perfect for town or the ranch.”
“Here we have a 1949 CJ2A. NO RUST . Rig spent its first 63 years in Eastern Oregon. Factory 134 Flat head, A lot of fun to drive and gets lots of thumbs up. I have had the Jeep for about 2 years it is pretty much stock. The only upgrades done to it are strickly for safety.
I had R and P install 11″ front Drums, and steering box upgrade to a 1971 CJ version. I also replaced all four springs with super lift 1″lift soft ride with U-bolts and shocks. I had the Radiator Rodded out last summer. And had some seat belts installed.
It was painted about 5-6 years ago and comes with the tow bar. For being 65 years old It looks pretty damn good. I have put about 130 miles on it mainly take to car shows and take kids out for ice cream during the summer. I’m somewhat flexible on price but from what I have seen on ewillys.com you are going to have to look for a long time before you find another one this nice in this price range.”
“Another rare barn find. 1946 Jeep CJ2A. Yes, it needs a lot of work. No, it doesn’t have an engine. Tires will hold air long enough to get on a trailer. Vehicle has been sitting many years. Are you looking for something to do with your kids or by yourself this summer? Thanks for reading.”
Engine is frozen. Title is in the works. Price seems a bit steep given those factors.
“I have a Willys Jeep CJ2A. I traded some work for it. Title is in the works. The Jeep is all there, it has a 4 cylinder with a manual transmission. 4 wheel drive. It appears to be all there, and in working condition. I was told it is a 1946 model, but do not know for sure as of yet. See pics, if you have interest please call or text after 5:30 PM Monday thru Friday and on weekends at decent time. I will be happy to answer questions or show it if you wish. I wanted a custom jeep, and I just don’t have the heart to customize this piece of Americana. I would like to find someone that wants to restore it, but once you own it, it doesn’t matter to me what you do with it. ENGINE IS FROZEN.”
