Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. Looks like the seller put a lot of care into rebuilding this jeep and trailer.

Seller built a M-38 clone from this CJ-2A.
“1947 Willys cj2a .located in Beardstown Il 62618. new metal welded in ,frame not rusted. painted army olive drab. 12 volt ,motor over haled , transmission rebuilt ,transfer case over haled, and new seals on axels . seats recovered by me , bad job! clear Illinois title. also new brakes and hoses and four new tires . soft top and doors comes with it.
Can be test driven in Beardstown”

(03/20/2015) Looks like there is some bondo on the driver’s side.

(06/06/2015) Where’s the gas tank? It looks like it isn’t under the driver’s side seat.

170 CI inline six cylinder engine. Runs perfect.
Paint, Body looks good, no rust,
Needs new fuel tank, ”
Some assembly required.
“I have a 1947 Willys Jeep with 1 rebuilt F-Head engine and a second F-head that has the machine work done already. It has an overdrive transfer case. Does not have the original seats. Needs put back together. Converted to 12 volt system. Has the front plate to install the F-Head in the CJ2A. Clear Title.”
