About eWillys
Welcome to eWillys.com, a website for vintage jeep enthusiasts. I update this website nearly every day with jeep deals, jeep history, interesting reader projects, jeep related info, and more.
These quick searches can help you find things on eBay. People list in the wrong categories all the time, so don't be surprised to see brochures in the parts area for example. This section used to be split into jeeps, parts and other categories, but recent changes to eBay will require this information to be recoded.
The links to posts below show jeeps grouped by models, condition, and other ways. Some of these jeeps are for sale and others have been sold. If you are unsure whether a vehicle is still for sale or not, email me at d [at] ewillys.com for more info.
Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. So, tread carefully when purchasing a "project". If you have any concerns about buying a vintage jeep, or run across a scam, feel free to contact me for help, comments or concerns .
Seems worth a look. Note that it looks like part of a CJ-5 has been melded onto the driver’s side and rear of the jeep. The original body may have been an MB or GPW.
“Helping sell for a family friend 1946 jeep willys it has been converted for 12 volt battery it turns over nicely with starter not currently running need some points and a condenser and a possible carb cleaning used to run 5 to 6 years ago was used on his property no title bill of sale not on record be a fun ranch toy or back woods explorer and get to feel what them army boys felt back in the day”
Bill shared this CJ-2A, serial number 83871 (just barely a ’47).There are only 23 hours left as of this posting. the current price is $500. Check out the engine compartment! Wow, just wow. Given what appears to be a gov data plate on the dash, this was likely modified which ever gov entity owned it. The bumper sure is an odd setup.
“Needing some more room. Titled, 1946 Willys CJ-2A. 12v converted, electric fuel pump (new AGM battery 2020). Haven’t been able to give it the attention it needs and looking for something with more room for kids and dogs. Has been sitting indoors for last couple years, needs brakes and saw a plug wire chewed up, various other electrical also never got around to. $5500 or possible trade/trade up for 70’s and up newer jeeps, side by sides.”
“Runs well. Brakes good and shifts thru all gears good. All lights work. Call for more info”
From the previous ebay ad:
“Body has floor and hat channel rot in Toolbox area and on driver side hat channel under step. Rest of floors in good shape for age. Runs, stops, and steers good. Refer to pictures for the shape of the rest of the body. Motor may not be the original L134 (# S 2171) over water pump. Tag on front driver frame horn damaged by welding. Taillight, stop light, headlights (high and low beams), high beam indicator, front park lights and dash light all work. No horn or windshield wiper (will come with one vacuum wiper) and gas gauge not hooked up, all other gauge’s work. Serial # 90,097 (makes it early 47 and that might explain the 46 grille), ACM body # 79474 and tailgate #79348. Tranny and transfer case shift and work good. Some bracing added to front frame horns, can be removed and repaired nicer. Seats, Glass (no cracks) in good condition. Gas tank is good and looks like it was replaced at some time. One of the pictures of the interments shows charging and oil pressure while running cold. A little TLC, cleanup and drive as is or a good base for a restore.”
Otis is selling his restored CJ-2A. You can reach him at 928 363 1912.
“1947 CJ2A serial # 88970, engine runs great, transmission and transfer case are excellent, too many new parts to list, receipts of $13,000 for parts and service available, tried to keep original in restoration, there is nothing left to do but enjoy, $18,500. call for more details.
“1946 Willys CJ2A. Rear crash damage. Motor, transmission, t-case were all working fine at the time of the incident. With the damage being concentrated to the right rear it should still be good. Also includes a hard half top, windshield, and hard door”
“Early cj2a tub, grill, tail gate, 2 hoods, windshield frame, extra dash cowl assembly, and 2 seat frames. Tub is actually pretty solid sans the normal floor spots. Selling for a friend of mine. $500 obo. Will have a matching stripped cj2a frame available (no drive train or axles) and another complete tub and stripped frame (same as above) available in a week or so for additional. Would be willing to make a “whole lot” deal.”
