Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. “I have a Jeep CJ2A that I purchased but then moved and do not have room to store it for restoration. I am looking to trade for a running 60’s to 80’s cadillac, lincoln, or similar that may be a running project. Also would consider titled motorcycles that are complete. Mine has a lot of extra parts and restoration has been started. Let me know what you have.”

“nice jeep thats been in the family for 30 years, it passed down to me, I ve worked on the running parts of the jeep new brakes, plugs wires, relined gas tank, etc, Body needs some work and to be repainted, I have lost interest at this point, so still a work in progress. please no texts thanks.”
Looks like a fine price. Not perfect, but seems like a perfect entry level jeep for someone.
“948 cj2a Willy’s jeep,. This was used for the fall small game season. The body is sold with Damond plate corners and floor. The engine was rebuilt several years ago and runs good. Transmission and transfer case are good no leaks. Gas tank is in back. Radio, 12volt, front clip rolls forward to work on, high back seats, role bar. Tires are good. Has solex carb on will included regular carb.”

Has a rear PTO.
“This is a 1946 I did as a Navy Shore Patrol Tribute It has 4cyl engine, 3 speed all original It runs great.
I did change to 12 volt and electric fuel pump for easy starting
It has 5 new military tires, brakes done I have a black best top but like it without the top.
It has something I have not seen before a factory installed PTO on rear and it works.”

(04/24/2014) Looks like this is a VEC body. Has an f-head.
“For being 68 yrs old, this is a very nice vehicle. It has matching frame and body serial numbers and numerous newer parts including:
– “F” Head 90 hp motor
– rebuilt transmission
– 12 volt conversion with remanufactured generator
– carburetor
– solenoid, coil, starter & battery
It certainly isn’t perfect, but it’s hard to expect more for the age and the price.”
Doesn’t drive, but engine starts.

UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $2000.
Seller listed this as a 1943, but looks like a 1946 to me. The front frame rails and bumper look good. A PTO winch is in the rear. It’s pretty complete, but still a project.
