“Jeep runs good”
UPDATE: Price dropped to $10,000.
(02/14/2015) Has a variety of updates.
“offroad and trail rides and around local town is what this was built for. pinto 2300 4 cyclinder, 3 spd manual, lock out front hubs, locker front and limited rear, etc…..”
This has an early windshield with the square bolt heads. Without the hubs or indents, the windshield may not be original to the jeep.
“1946 Willys Jeep. Good condition, solid body, unmolested. This jeep is all original, only things that are not oem is the roll bar added for saftey (these jeeps didn’t have any roll protection), a 12v conversion for more reliable starting, and modern tires. Motor is all original, original glass is intact. Odometer reads 10xxx.”
UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $1900.
Both are projects.
“2 CJ2A jeeps. The nicer of the two has a title. Both engines are stuck from sitting. The nicer has a good frame and not horrible sheet metal. Mostly complete under the hood. Transmission shifter moves in and out of gear. Rolls easily in neutral. The second is for parts only. Body is very rusty. Good donor for spares. You are buying both jeeps for this money. I will consider separating and or parting out the tough one.”
UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $1000
May be some parts value?
“I have two Willys flat fenders for sale. One is a CJ 2A (pictured below), and the other is a basket case CJ 3A with a sand blasted and etch-primed frame.”
UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $4800.
(03/24/2015) Still 6 volt.
“64k miles on original flat head 4, 3 speed manual trans and dual stick transfer case. Running gear is mechanically perfect, Clutch was replaced and has less than 500 mi on it. Still original 6 volt battery system with most of the original wiring in tact and floor starting button. Blinkers sand key were added by a former owner but should be easy enough to change or remove. Body is solid with some surface rust mainly in the bed. Has been painted at some point. Have original owners manual as well as defroster and hand crank. This is a CASH ONLY sale, NOT interested in trades. Please don’t waste my time with lowball offers or scams.”
This could use a speedometer.
“You are looking at a 1946 Willys Jeep (CJ 2A) that has been renovated to use and abuse…It has a title, is tagged and insured. This was the jeep that started it all, the first year that the Willys was available to civilians after WWII. All work has been done by a certified mechanic in the last year (have receipts). I’ve been driving it close to every day. 4 wheel drive works fantastically! I’d put this thing up against any Rubicon any day. It is a tank.
No frills on this Willys, but it is a real head-turner. Cruises at 50mph, drives over anything and everything. Lots of fun and is fairly dependable. Has low-back seats from a 52 Willys because they are a lot more comfortable than the original seats. It also has an extra set of tires and wheels (original wheels) All electrical has been converted to 12V… The only thing that it needs is turn signals. Eventually, it would be a good idea to convert the starter to work in collaboration with the key. As of right now, the starter is on the floor. I’ve kept it that way for the novelty of it (and for security…no one would know how to start it, even if they had the key). It’s got some rust and no speedometer, but i’ve accounted for that in the asking price. ”
UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $5000.
(02/26/2015) Looks like a solid rig.
“1947 Willys Jeep, full top, bikini top, half diamond plate doors, built from the ground up, have pictures of every step, 8000 warn wench, small block chevy 4 speed, racing seats, cb, stereo, not a better type jeep, has a nice tow bar, no rust anywhere. Doctor bills force sale or I would not sell it. ”
UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $4700.
