About eWillys
Welcome to eWillys.com, a website for vintage jeep enthusiasts. I update this website nearly every day with jeep deals, jeep history, interesting reader projects, jeep related info, and more.
These quick searches can help you find things on eBay. People list in the wrong categories all the time, so don't be surprised to see brochures in the parts area for example. This section used to be split into jeeps, parts and other categories, but recent changes to eBay will require this information to be recoded.
The links to posts below show jeeps grouped by models, condition, and other ways. Some of these jeeps are for sale and others have been sold. If you are unsure whether a vehicle is still for sale or not, email me at d [at] ewillys.com for more info.
Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. So, tread carefully when purchasing a "project". If you have any concerns about buying a vintage jeep, or run across a scam, feel free to contact me for help, comments or concerns .
(11/13/2019) I understand that as a seller answering questions can get tiring, but if a buyer isn’t asking questions about a jeep/price like this, then how are they supposed to know whether to see it in person or not?
“This is a cross between a 1952 willys CJ3a and a 1979 CJ5. The body and frame are 1952 with a title and registration in my name in hand to mach. The axles, dontless v6 engine, trans, powerstearing and seats came from a 79 CJ5.
Iv replaced with brand new since I’ve owned it in the last 9 months:
Power stearing box
Power stearing lines
Power stearing pump
Stearing column
Stearing shaft
Stearing wheel
Bikini top
Carboratotor
Fuel pump
Plugs
wires
Cap
Rotor
Air cleaner
Front calipers with pads
This thing runs strong, drives ok on the street for what it is. Great trail rig. It’s got wheel adapters on it to fit newer ford 8 lug wheels. It comes with a set of 33s too that are 5 on 5.5 so you can take the adoptors off if you dont like them. Could use some wiring to make it more street legal, brake lights and blinkers, wipers are inop. body is in fairly good shape, full soft top was new just before I bought it. not cut up or full of rust. Also comes with lots of extra parts. I’m asking $4500 obo”

“Trade for camp trailer. Built 327, front disc conversion, 1000 miles since built, runs excellent, drives great, super fast, too fast for young driver’s.body solid, looks, sounds great, fender well headers”
“I have owned this jeep since 1967! Yes, that is correct 52 years! Did a rebuild with the original flat head 4, then modified in 1972 to a 307 Chevy V-8, 4 speed T90 manual trans, Hurst shifter, overdrive, CJ5 front and rear end. Still has drum brakes which work well. I would love to keep it (why not?!) but we are moving later this year and it’s time for her to find a new loving home. Runs great, current motor has approximately 15,000 miles on it.”
“Lots of new parts, new rancho shocks and steer stab, new carb, new alternator 12 v, transfer case rebuilt, engine rebuilt and trans and 4wd work well, new radiator, new electric fan,new elect fuel pump new aluminum fuel tank, two new tires and wheels, new seat upholstry, new canvas top,new LED offroad lights, new wink rear view mirror, new 8000 lb winch, new front steering, more. Not fast but climbs like a goat! I built it to keep but we dont drive it much anymore, Tagged & insured. Not positive on miles. Serious buyer only.”
“I am selling my used/rebuilt Willys Jeep CJ-3A. I purchased this out of Texas a year or so ago, registered and titled it, but never seem to have the time to use it. Too many projects, not enough time so it’s time to let it go (selling all my CJ items).
This is a very nice rebuilt CJ-3A, which was mechanically gone thru as well as new paint. It is not perfect and the original tub was re-used without any work done to it that I can tell (i.e. dents, holes, etc still there); previous owner liked the proverbial “patina” of it. Starts, runs, drives, and stops; I haven’t used it in over a year, so brought it out of storage.
