Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. Listed as a 1951, this jeep has a replacement tub. It does not appear to have an M-38 frame; rather, maybe a CJ-3A frame with the PTO bar removed? This seems to be a mix of parts.

(06/30/2019) Tom shared this oddity. This seems to be a late model DJ-3A body and windshield (design for a Koenig top) mounted on a (probably) CJ-2A chassis with a Meyer Half-top. That’s a combo I don’t think I’ve seen before.

“1952 Willy’s cj3a. Been in the family’s for over 40 years and has been a fun little toy. Body has recently been redone. Sitting on original running gear with a small block ford 260 v8 under the hood. 3 speed manual transmission with reverse and overdrive. 4×4 with manual hubs. Runs great drives great.
