About eWillys
Welcome to eWillys.com, a website for vintage jeep enthusiasts. I update this website nearly every day with jeep deals, jeep history, interesting reader projects, jeep related info, and more.
These quick searches can help you find things on eBay. People list in the wrong categories all the time, so don't be surprised to see brochures in the parts area for example. This section used to be split into jeeps, parts and other categories, but recent changes to eBay will require this information to be recoded.
The links to posts below show jeeps grouped by models, condition, and other ways. Some of these jeeps are for sale and others have been sold. If you are unsure whether a vehicle is still for sale or not, email me at d [at] ewillys.com for more info.
Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. So, tread carefully when purchasing a "project". If you have any concerns about buying a vintage jeep, or run across a scam, feel free to contact me for help, comments or concerns .
“WILLYS JEEP V6 WITH 4 SPEED TRANS THIS IS A PROJECT VEHICLE THAT HAS BEEN SITTING INSIDE FOR YEARS MOSTLY COMPLETE I PURCHASED THIS JEEP AS IS AND NEVER GOT TO WORK ON IT RELOCATION IS FORCING THIS SALE”
(10/16/2018) Rob’s selling his nice looking 3A named “Scout” with a set of beautiful Free-Lock hubs.
“his CJ-3A, affectionately known as “Scout,” was born in 1950. Having spent the majority of its life on a mountain property in Mariposa, CA; this Willys Jeep has always been 100% free from any rot, cancer, or structural rust.
After a lengthy search for the right era-stock 3A, in 2012 I purchased Scout from its second California owner. Shortly thereafter, I found another unit that had a freshly rebuilt drivetrain (less than 20 hours), so I purchased it too and combined our solid rust-free Scout with the fresh heart and axles of the donor.
As I have a hard time leaving well enough alone, your new Willys will come with $10,723.51 in parts receipts, including the new “Herm the Overdrive Guy” 30% overdrive! Yes, everything works as designed. Every gauge, headlight, taillight, and parking light; even the factory high beam indicator and map light glow proudly on the dash. The transmission and transfer case shift with a positive engagement rarely found in Jeeps of this era. The engine starts right up, hot or cold, and purrs like a kitten at 180 degrees; always. The custom receiver hitch is ready to haul your boat to the pond. And if worse comes to worse, the Bellview/Warn winch powered by a custom 6/12v battery system stands at the ready. Continue reading →

“1947 Willys jeep vintage plow truck with plow. There’s no pump for the plow it’s chained in the up position. Motor turns over missing carb and needs a fuel system otherwise looks complete. Tub is rusty and patched in spots has a decent cab that makes it look cool.No title. Bill of sale. No Texts Please.”
CJ-5 body melded to a flattie front. List as a 1942, I don’t see anything here that suggests ’42. It might have Husky or Allstate hubs.
“42 willys jeep running gear everything there except from the dash back someone put a cj 5 body on it what you see is what you get motor is a 289 Ford motor does not run froze up .( IM SELLING THIS AS IS. )I don’t know anything about this jeep just got it on a trade I did.”
“Willys CJ3A jeep. Many newer parts. Runs and drives. Soft top and soft doors. Seats 4, with seat belts- street legal. Manual transmission. Super cool jeep to own- ONE OF A KIND! Small tear in top- picture included. Worth more than I’m asking.
LOCAL SALES ONLY!! No pickup people, no trades, don’t offer to help me sell this or try to scam me. I don’t have the patience.”
(08/15/2018) This appears to have a CJ-5 hardtop, hence the reason it fits oddly at the windshield.
“Nice running and fully operational 1951 Willy’s CJ5. Has a manual winch on the front that operates like a comealong ratchet. Has some type of custom rack system for carrying boards, or long pipes ETC. Hard top and rear bench seat. Equipped with an external rear box for carrying tools or luggage ETC. This is a perfect Jeep for restoration or getting back to your back 40 in old school style to stretch the fence lines! It starts up and stays running on the first try.”
“This is a toy needs some work fun project runs and drives it’s a 1948 Willy’s body on 1966 jeepstar frame lots of new parts has 231 Buick engine with automatic pretty much complete needs hood has bikini top new soft top new tank all lights work good exhaust pretty neat ride 4×4 works good has tow bar”
This is an interesting build. I thought it might be a DJ delivery body, but it does appear to be a 3A body. I’d say those front fenders are custom. The front frame rails have been extended.
