About eWillys
Welcome to eWillys.com, a website for vintage jeep enthusiasts. I update this website nearly every day with jeep deals, jeep history, interesting reader projects, jeep related info, and more.
These quick searches can help you find things on eBay. People list in the wrong categories all the time, so don't be surprised to see brochures in the parts area for example. This section used to be split into jeeps, parts and other categories, but recent changes to eBay will require this information to be recoded.
The links to posts below show jeeps grouped by models, condition, and other ways. Some of these jeeps are for sale and others have been sold. If you are unsure whether a vehicle is still for sale or not, email me at d [at] ewillys.com for more info.
Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. So, tread carefully when purchasing a "project". If you have any concerns about buying a vintage jeep, or run across a scam, feel free to contact me for help, comments or concerns .
“This is 1949 original Willy with work winch. Runs and drives 4 wheel drive. Tires are good. Email only due to all the solicitation calls I have received.”
“1949 CJ3A
Frame is straight, many new parts.
All original minus wheels tires and a Saginaw steering box swap. Ran before starting to rewire. Comes with a few parts (carb, master cylinder, etc)
Can throw in SM420 trans also”
“RIGHT PHONE NUMBER THIS TIME.
Sorry to anyone that tried to contact me about this Jeep. I don’t know how but somehow I posted the wrong number.
1949 Willy’s Jeep. Decent shape. Rust for sure but it is still there. It has the 4 cyl. Flathead “go devil”. Just put a new head gasket on and found that piston 3 does have some damage to it. Engine still runs as is. Looks as if the prior owner took out the damaging piece and ran it. Then stopped cause the head gasket developed a leak into cylinder 2. Other downside is that the starter is not shooting out to engage the engine and turn it. Bright sides are many though! It has a in tact windshield, brand new tires, a recently gone through trans and it has been converted to 12 volt! Granted whoever did it used only red wires but still, that’s a 400 dollar conversion. Also all the gauges work or seem to!
Got the Jeep on a trade and though it is cool, I have a off-road rig already and really need the cash. Only trade I would entertain is a car hauler. 18′ or more with drive over fenders.”
“Jeep model CJ3A. This is the one with more leg room, completely original, steering, motor…..ALL original. Has been painted one time, runs and drives good, breaks work, ready to drive home, except glass is missing on windshield. Tires are good.”
“I got a 51 Willy’s jeep and comes with a parts jeep also ..the running one has the Buick 6 cylinder in it. Has 5 33 inch super swampers on it with a spare .. runs and drives need some tlc carb needs tuning but it’s all complete has extra heads and tran and transfer case and other stuff that comes with parts jeep will need to be trailed home . asking$6000 obo .”
This jeep was formerly in the Portuguese Army, according to the seller. Most surprising to me is that it has a passenger side gas tank, but not a driver’s side tank. I also has a 2A windshield for some reason.
“This vehicle was at Portuguese army service from 1950 to 1964. From then on, it has been in the hands of private collectors. It works perfectly and its in great shape. The vehicle can be shipped to anywhere from its current location in Lisbon, Portugal”
This plow jeep with a half cab was spotted for auction by Bill. At #10212, it’s an early 3A.
