About eWillys
Welcome to eWillys.com, a website for vintage jeep enthusiasts. I update this website nearly every day with jeep deals, jeep history, interesting reader projects, jeep related info, and more.
These quick searches can help you find things on eBay. People list in the wrong categories all the time, so don't be surprised to see brochures in the parts area for example. This section used to be split into jeeps, parts and other categories, but recent changes to eBay will require this information to be recoded.
The links to posts below show jeeps grouped by models, condition, and other ways. Some of these jeeps are for sale and others have been sold. If you are unsure whether a vehicle is still for sale or not, email me at d [at] ewillys.com for more info.
Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. So, tread carefully when purchasing a "project". If you have any concerns about buying a vintage jeep, or run across a scam, feel free to contact me for help, comments or concerns .
“So, this has been in my family for quite a while. Believe my great grandpa ‘created’ this back in the 80’s and would mainly use it as a hunting vehicle. To my understanding mostly all the exterior is fiberglass, cab space is mainly sheet metal, engine and chassis are from an old jeep (willys jeep or jeep CJ) sometime in the 1940’s-60’s. Price is OBO, if you think you have any info on the chassis and engine based on the pictures let me know, I would like to learn more about it myself. Have the cylinder head and other parts but are in kind of rough shape as you could assume”
“1949 Jeep Willys Jeep CJ3A. Been sitting since early 80s, have Dana 25 axles to swap with a willys wagon frame. The willys is 100% complete down to the key and 6v battery from the 80s. The motor is currently stuck but has been bathing in mystery oil the last few months. It was parked due to front axle situation. No title but your local tow yard can get you one for cheap. The frame is solid however tub has some rot, which is reflected in the price. If you are looking for an unmolested project, here is your chance! ”
“Selling my jeep due to divorce. I started complete down to frame restoration, I did all the no fun work leaving only the fun remaining. I have every nut and bolt. L 134 FLATHEAD MOTOR, I purchased 2 years ago and drove it home for disassembly, have changed the oil and filter, ready to roll. New carb, complete brake overhaul including new wheel cyclinders, shoes, springs, etc.. new master cylinder, radiator refurbished, new wiring harness, new ignition spark plug ignition wire set, fuel sending unit, speedo cable, brake lamp switch, anti squeak kit, body mounting rubber kit, accelerator linkage kot with throttle rod, many new parts im forgetting. frame wire brushed, painted, Cab rhino lined, bumpers, gas can spare tire rack sandblasted and powder coated. Entire body soda blasted and painted. Have original seats and custom seat with roll bar. I also have the overdrive for it. Have oringinal hard top, tires, doors, etc..This can be one nice jeep and actually already is. Just needs someone to complete it. I paid 7500 for it, prolly have another 2500 (at least) in new parts, and too many hours to mention.”
“I KNOW IT ISN’T a JEEP PATRIOT but FB doesn’t list Willys and you can’t post an add unless you select SOMETHING so… Frame and tub are in pretty good shape. Needs motor. Rolls and steers easily. If you are looking to restore this model or make it an army jeep this is a pretty good platform to start with. Body panels are in good shape and the tub floor needs some work but is fairly solid. Frame underneath looks okay. This was supposed to be a restoration project but I realized I don’t have the knowledge or time so I would like to pass it on to someone else before the snow flies. Sat indoors for many years until about two years ago. Stays covered since. No title.”
“1952 jeep willys rat rod jeep. We bought it to finish it and just don’t have the time It has 305 with automatic trans got a 350 to go with it it ran when I parked it. I have the front gril and radiator which I just had worked on”
The CJ-2A’s body is wood from a Sears & Roebuck kit. Seems we have run across one of those kits before.
“Package deal of tona of parts and three Willy’s Jeeps. One ’47 CJ2A (white) complete but half the body is a plywood kit from Sears Roebuck. No title. Engine has lots of rust but repairable with a hot tank and time. Needs work but good frame and lots of good parts, or make it run again if you want.
One ’47 CJ2A just the body have the windshield, fenders, grille, seats, tailgate, and other metal for it.
And one ’50 CJ3A complete with title runs and drives but has bad tires, no brakes, no steering (the front crossmember is busted off, planned to chassis swap with the white 2A.) Grille is unbolted as is left fender to work on car. Has new starter and new ignition parts. Runs like a top stock fuel pump even works.
Planned to use the running gear from green one, body of the tub and parts, and chassis from the white one to make one nice stock jeep easily then use the remaining parts to build the remaining parts into crawlers or something fun.
Parts include:
Engine block in good shape will need cleaned up, cranks, cams, pistons, rods, oil pans, transfer cases, I think transmission, drive shafts, radiator, tons of body metal such as hoods fenders doors windshields (including glass) tailgates, parts to put a canvas top on, basically three entire jeeps worth of parts including lots of new parts worth ~450 from Kaiser Willy’s with receipt.
May split stuff. Yes the VW stuff is for sale too.
Update: **SOLD** Was $7500. …. Navy, not Air Force like I mistakenly put down. I saw the plane on the back and didn’t look closer.
This appears to be an Navy-themed CJ-3A.
“Frame-off rebuild by a shop instructor, lovingly. F-head, 134 CID, 4 cylinder “Hurricane.” Runs great with a nice warm-up. Seats, Lock-out hubs. No top. More pictures on request. 7500 OBO”
“Been garage kept for last 20 years comes with few extra parts including two Willy’s industrial L134 engines has had top doors and heater. Has clean title”
