Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. WITH THE ORIGINAL THREE SPEED MANUAL TRANSMISSION ODOMETER READS UNDER 5,000 MILES. I DO NOT KNOW IF THAT IS ORIGINAL MILES HOWEVER ODOMETER IS WORKING AND IT APPEARS TO BE ORIGINAL. HOUR METER UNDER THE HOOD SHOWS 90 HOURS.

Runs and drives.
“1951 willys jeep runs, and drives good.4×4 works. Original go devil 4 cylinder. Pionts conversion to 12 volt. New plugs, cap, and rotor. New transfer case seals. New oil in differentials, and engine. Built by upland motors. The original jeep. I bolieve its a cj, not mb. Army surplus marketed to civilians. It also has upgraded sespenesion , shocks,traction all terrain tires and a small lift.Ready for hunting. It has a top, but very old. firm on $5000. Or trade for newer jeep wranger of equal value.”

“Nice project, no rust. Has nice unseized hurricane engine to go with it along with hurricane already in it, less head. Brakes seized in front, that’s why it’s on stands. Would make great winter project. 1,300 firm or trades if you have something interesting.”

“this is not your average jeep, which are great vehicles but this is above and beyond your normal jeep!all running gear in this jeep is custom, great vehicle! the body is solid and in great condition for its age. you will be hard pressed to find another one like this one! start with scout all wheel drive differentials, scout 4spd transmisson and transfer case. factory made conversion kit and adapter plate for small block chevy! not sure of chevy v-8 cubic inchs but looks like 283 or 327. old man i bought it from was gonna do a project with his son,unfortunatly he passed away. engine turns over,[not frozen], needs some parts before would be able to fire it up.or drop your ready to run smallblock. has heater, elect. wipers, turn signals and horn button on steering wheel, excellent metal hardtop doors have roll-up windows, all doors and windows work. call jeff for more info,lots of stuff. will make the ultimate jeep, with some work.”

Fiberglass body. Looks solid.
“Original engine and tranny, very good frame, mechanically sound jeep. motor was rebuilt a couple thousand miles ago. top is in good condition, wheels and tires have low miles on them, mild suspension lift, fender flares, lock out hubs, fiberglass body is in great condition.
I am 28 now, and have had the Jeep since I was 14. restored it at age 18 and it has sat in a garage most of the time since then. this jeep was tastefully built and gets a lot of compliments. 814.590.59five.seven. I do not need help selling this. I just don’t have the garage space to keep this anymore.”

“Willys Jeep. Flat head 4 cylinder engine. Not started in several years but did operate prior to parking it. Engine not seized up. In need of restoration, would make a great home project.”
